They used an infrared light projector to create a red/green/blue image on a piece of paper that could be read with a resolution of about 20 lines per inch. Johns Creek is a town in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 2,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Johns Creek was founded by John Jones and his family in 1802 as a small farming community on the Chattahoochee River below present-day Decatur Street. In 1836, the Joneses relocated to what is now Decatur Street and built their first home there. Johnston County was formed from parts of Fulton and Gwinnett counties in 1837, and John Jones was selected as its first county commissioner. The town site passed through several hands until it reverted to Jones in 1865 when he sold it to Daniel Waddell for $3,000 cash. A post office called Johns Creek was established in 1868, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1933. By 1890, the population had grown sufficiently that a school district had been established; however, opened only one year later due to financial instability caused by repeal of state education laws related to railroad construction along the Chattahoochee River corridor (the town developed around two railroads). In 1905–1906 efforts were made to open a new high school but no success; during World War II local businesses helped support military aircraft production activities at nearby Peachtree Army Air Field (now Peachtree Center), which led to increased demands for public schools within the community; thus an effort began in 1946 to build an all-purpose building on Main Street which would serve as a library and primary school with special programming for war orphans before they were placed with adoptive families or sent away from home after Pearl Harbor; this building became operational as Johns Creek High School (originally known as "Johnston County Junior High School") in 1949. From 1951 until 1959 all grades were combined into one large high school under common administration while also creating separate sports programs for boys and girls; this arrangement continued until 1963 when grade levels were reestablished as separate sexes within one large high school effective January 1 of that year following passage of legislation approving merger of adjacent districts – Folkstone Elementary/Middle School District #1 (Fulton County) with Hawkinsville Elementary/High School District #2 (Gwinnett County). On November 16th 1968 tornado touched down about northeast of downtown Decatur inflicting serious damage including loss of power supplies throughout downtown area leading up north towards Hartsfield-Jackson Airport where more than 100 people died from injuries sustained inside central business district alone More than $30 million has since been expended cleaning up Government property Damage suffered by homes near Interstate 85 resulted from lack of insurance claims filed against tornado victims Hopkins University operates satellite campuses located outside Of Atlanta on 145 acres adjacent To city limits
