Johns Creek, Georgia is a small town in Fulton County, Georgia. A small community of only around 3,000 people, it was founded in 1827 by Colonel Alexander McGillivray. The original name for the town was "McGillivray's Mills" and it was changed to "Johns Creek" in 1868 when the town became a part of Fulton County. Johns Creek is located on the Chattahoochee River just outside of Atlanta. The city of Atlanta is located roughly 20 miles to the south-west and is home to over 100,000 people.
