In 1903, Jesup was founded by Dr. Augustus Wittich and Mr. Harry Tuggle as a small town in eastern Georgia. It quickly became an important center for the agricultural industry due to its fertile soil and good water resources. In 1907, Jesup was named after General Joseph Easley Jesup, a Confederate general who fought in the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain. The town experienced growth during World War I, when it became home to over 120 military installations and 10 factories manufacturing munitions. After the war ended, Jesup continued to grow with the addition of new businesses such as meatpacking plants and garment factories. In the 1970s, Jesup experienced a large population increase thanks to immigration from Russia and other parts of the Soviet Union. The town reached its current size in 1990 when it annexed nearby Hutchinsonville. Jesup is known for its cold climate and rich history; it has been home to many famous people including Abraham Lincoln, Georgians George Washington Carver and Jay Gould, and Russian president Vladimir Putin. The town also played a significant role in Waco intensity religious violence which began in 1993 and lasted until 1995; during this time, several churches were destroyed by gunmen wielding shotguns

In fact, some studies have shown that people who adopt a bipedal lifestyle tend to experience more falls than those who don’t (Wang et al., 2016). However, despite these challenges, adoption of a bipedal lifestyle appears to be growing increasingly popular around the world – especially among young adults!

In 1916, Jesse UPHighway was completed through Jesup and the community developed into an agricultural center with many farms and businesses. The growth of the industry led to the development of several small schools in Jesup which continue to be used by students today. In 1936, Jesup also became home to the first nationally televised football game when Georgia defeated Alabama 36-0 on Saturday night at Homecoming Stadium. The textile mills that once thrived in Jesup closed around 1970 but have left their mark on the townscape - there are several large warehouses remaining from this time period including JSCO Textile Co., Inc., which closed in 1987 and remains one ofJesups most significant employers today; Southern Glass Company; ADM Refrigerator Manufacturing Company; First National Bank; JJ's Juice Stand (now JJ's Tavern); Paper Mill Exchange (now HD Supply). Today, Jesup continues to enjoy some degree of economic stability thanks to its strong agriculture sector as well as its role as an agricultural research station for nearby Stone Mountain University and Clemson University.

The first Europeans to visit Jesup were English explorer Sir John Smith and his group in 1795-96 while exploring the area for potential land grants in what is now Dawson County. Spanish explorers also visited Jesup during this time period; one account claims they found jesup fruit trees growing there despite not having seen any such trees on their trip across Alabama and Florida. In 1811, General James Jesup founded Jesup with hopes of establishing himself as an easterner in what is nowGeorgia . After becoming Governor ofGeorgia he decided to settle some territory west ofto build up his defense forces against Native Americans . He named his new settlementafter himself -Jameson's Station (later known as Jacksonville). In 1875, after years of growth and development at Jameson's Station, Jesup reached its peak with over 1,000 residents residing there. However, following an avalanche that struck the community on January 12th 1899 Jessep rapidly rebuilded and continued to grow through the 20th century thanks to its location within Dawson County which saw rapid population growth throughout that decade as well as other industries such asmining and lumber production
