By 1907, the town had a population of over 10,000 people and had developed several businesses including a cotton gin and brick kiln. However, during World War I (1914-18), many factory jobs were lost due to war production shortages which impacted negatively on local businesses such as the hinterland cotton gin which closed its doors for good in 1917. Despite this setback, starting in 1922-24Hinesville experienced an economic resurgence thanks to heavy investment from Coca Cola Company who built two major factories within radius of the town: one near downtown and another just north of Interstate 5 Exit 143 on US 285/Maulden Road). These new companies generated significant job growth that helped keep much of what used to be local commerce alive while also improving infrastructure such as roads and bridges which improved access to resources essential for continued prosperity throughout decades thereafter (e.g., steel mills located just east of I-5 exit 143 made possible by Interstate 85 running parallel). While some aspects have changed since then (e.g., competition from global internet retailers has led to increased prices for goods locally), overall community spirit remains strong today with close ties between residents groups promoting common interests like education and tourism among others

Hinesville is a small town in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 5,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The first people to live in what is now Hinesville were two brothers, John and Ebenezer Hines. They donated land to the town on which it stands today. The name Hinesville comes from Ebenezer's grandson, Hiram Hiney who settled there around 1800. The community was originally called "Newbern." In 1857, the citizens of nearby Decatur decided to unite with Fulton County and changed their name to Hinesville in honor of Ebenezer's grandson John A. Hines Sr.. In 1881, a post office was established at Hinesville and remained in operation until 1907. In 1902 local farmers began planting cotton near where I-285 now intersects Uptown Road/Highway 301 (then known as Old King Road). This led to the development of an important industry in earlyHinesVILLE: Cotton Ginning and Millwork. By 1910, over 80% of all jobs done locally came from this industry alone. In 1930 David Cobb begins developing the Cobb Parkway which would become one of Atlantans' most famous scenic drives; today it runs through downtown Atlanta between Midtown Center and Ponce de Leon Avenue bisecting Marietta Street just east of Exchange Place mall into Downtown Atlanta proper
Hinesville, Georgia was a small town in Cobb County, Georgia. The population was 592 at the 2010 census. It was founded in 1847 as a post office and is named for Samuel Hines, a pioneer settler who helped found the town.
