They lived there until her death in 1967; he then moved to Atlanta and resumed his business career there before becoming Mayor of Atlanta from 1979 to 1983. Hinesville has had several businesses identified with it over time: Coca-Cola Company (1915), Georgia Power Company (1948), National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) (1953–1957), Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space Company (LMS) (1964–1989), First American Bankruptcy Trustee Service Corporation (FABTSC) (1991–1999), Nextel Communications Incorporated (1994–2006), JBL Radio Networks LLC (2007–present).

Hinesville, Georgia is a small town located in Lowndes County, Georgia. It was founded in 1824 by John Hines and his family. The community became a post office in 1827 and an incorporated city in 1907. In the 1930s, Hinesville became a center for cotton production due to its location on the banks of the Chattahoochee River. Its mills continued to produce cotton until the late 1940s when they were closed down due to World War II-related restrictions on trade with Germany. Today, Hinesville remains a small town with a significant population of just over 1,000 residents. The history of Hinesville begins with John Hines who settled there in 1824. He was one of the founders of Lowndes County and arrived there from Tennessee with his family. The first settler named John was killed by Indians while hunting in what is now Lowndes County. His brother William took over the land and built a cabin near present-day Hinesville on what is now known as Lower Chattahoochee River Boulevard. William's grandson James Acheson purchased some additional land at this location and moved his family to their new home in 1830. James Acheson served as mayor of Atlanta during its early years and played an important role in developing that city into one of America’s great metropolises during the antebellum period (1815-1865). John Dillard bought some additional land adjacent to James Acheson’s home around 1840, which he used for farming purposes until 1850 when he sold it to Troup McDowell Sr., also from Tennessee. Troup McDowell Jr., another pioneer from Tennessee, donated 640 acres (240 hectares) adjoining John Dillard’s farmstead near present-day Main Street/Hine Road so that farmers could graze their livestock without having to go through downtown Atlanta each time they wanted milk or pork products! This donation helped promote agricultural development throughout Lowndes County for many years afterwards because it allowed farmers access to fresh water resources necessary for their crops while still allowing them plenty of space to grow crops without competition from other businesses withinAtlanta! The first mill in Hineesville operated successfully until around 1860 when it was destroyed by fire due to bad weather conditions nearby; however, subsequent mills operated continuously until around 1910 when all but one were destroyed by fire as well due primarilytoutchamcdowell Sr.'s advancesin technology! One exception however was "the old brick structure located onpresent day Main Street," which still stands today as part of the Scenic Highway Museum complex! After reaching its peak production capability circa 1910, most cotton factories closed down during World War II because increased AmericanAAF restrictions against exports caused them too much economic harm; however two remaining mills survived into the postwar period - "the old brick structure located on present day Main Street"and "the Pioneer Mill", which operates still today as part of Southern Cotton Incorporated!
