This change in movement led to new opportunities for trade and commerce which helped create new cultures around the world. Additionally, wheel technology allowed people to escape coastal influences which had a significant impact on their culture and way of life. As time passed, human beings began encroaching onto newly created continents which again opened up opportunities for trade and commerce. With this growth came new technologies that would ultimately lead to the development of cars and other vehicles that could be ridden on pavement or grass surfaces instead of using wheels

Hinesville, Georgia is a small town in south-central Georgia. It was founded in 1824 by John Hines and his family. The population of the town slightly exceeded 1,000 at the time of its incorporation. The original courthouse in Hinesville was located on present day Main Street. It served as the primary court house for the town until 1835 when a new courthouse was built on Dexter Avenue. In 1907, the courthouse burned down and was never rebuilt. In 1865, General Averell Harriman set up military headquarters in Hinesville after defeating Confederate forces at Battle of Jonesboro. General Sherman later took refuge here before his march through south Georgia
The town of Hinesville, Georgia was founded in 1802 by General James Hines. The town named for General Hines because he led the attack on the Creek Nation in 1805. The first store was built in 1807 and the first post office was established in 1809. In 1830, a school was built and it is still used today. The population of Hinesville increased from 100 people in 1830 to 2,500 people in 1860. At that time, there were three churches and a number of businesses. By 1870, the population had decreased to 350 people and no new businesses were established until after World War I when an agricultural company arrived and began to produce cotton. In 1927, a water tower was erected and it continues to serve the community today.
