In 1984, the organization merged with two othergun clubs in Gwinnett County to form the Gwinnett Firearms & Ammunition Association (GFA).
Forest Park is a small city in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 6,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Forest Park was incorporated on April 1, 1906. The town of Forest Park was named for two large tracts of forest land that were donated to the city by Augustus H. Cooke in 1892 and 1893. At the time, it was bounded by what are now Wartburg Road and Sandy Springs Road on the east side of town; Snellville Avenue on the west side; and Dunwoody Avenue on the north side. In 1906, City Council decided to rename Forest Park after Major General John Buford Forrest who had served as Commanding Officer of Confederate forces during the American Civil War and then as Governor of Georgia from 1884-1887. Forrest had been awarded an honorary degree from Emory University in 1903). During Forrest's lifetime, Forest Park enjoyed some impressive economic developments including: a sawmill built in 1912 which became one of Fulton County's leading employers until its closure in 1974; an agricultural research center operated by Southern Research Company (now Dow AgroSciences) from 1926 until its closure in 1988; a cinema complex consisting of three theaters (the first being built in 1924) which became known as "the Big Three" because they were among the first movie theatres within 100 miles of Atlanta; and major road projects such as Highway 85 which connected Mexico Street north to Peachtree Road south and Boulevard East to Interstate 205 across Snellville Avenue. Forest Park also experienced several high-profile tragedies including: On May 24, 1928 local residents heard about shots being fired outside their homes before learning later that four people had been killed when a car collided with a streetcar near High School Drive/I-285 South; nine people died when fire burned down part of an agricultural research center operated by Southern Research Company just northeast of downtown on December 6th, 1951 following an accident during testing for new pesticide products; sixteen people died when a gas pipeline exploded east of town on October 15th 1965 due to corrosion within his aging lines; one person died after falling into Lake Lanier while swimming

In 1903, Colt Firearms Corporation introduced their iconic revolver called "The Garand". With its 4" barrel, this revolver offered reliable fire from any distance up to 100 yards using standard black powder cartridges (.45 ACP) through an 8" round barrel chambered for .44 Special ammo (similar to what is available today). In 1911, Smith & Wesson started producing their own revolvers under license from Colt called "Standard Police/.38 Special" Copy revolvers; these pistols offered same reliability as their Colts but without all of the features of those made by Colt including grips and sights.

By 1830, Wilkinson had organized a Methodist church and began to build homes. In 1833, Wilkinson donated land for a school that would become known as Forest Park Elementary School. A gristmill was built in 1840 and served as the center of village life until it was destroyed by fire in 1851. In 1865, forest park became an incorporated municipality with its own government and court system. The town passed away after only 10 years when rail transportation arrived and made timber production more profitable than farming. Agricultural development replaced forestry over time; however, Forest Park still remains a popular tourist destination today due to its natural beauty and historical significance
