Forest Park is a city in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 27,191 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Forest Park is home to two major airgun ranges: the Atlanta Gun Show Range and the Crowne Plaza Airguns Range. In 1895, an enterprising man by the name of George Withers started selling pistols and revolvers from his home on Peachtree Street in Forest Park. At first, these sales were done only to friends and family members who lived in nearby Decatur or Dunwoody; however, over time Withers began to sell firearms to people all across south Fulton County. In 1903, Withers opened what would become known as the Atlanta Gun Show Range on Peachtree Street in Forest Park – one of only a few such ranges in Georgia at that time. Over time, other gun shows were held at various locations throughout south Fulton County and even into Alabama; but it was at the Atlanta Gun Show Range that many of Georgia's top shooters gathered to compete and learn new techniques. By 1910, Withers had built up a large business with his own store and range located on Peachtree Street in Forest Park (now inside of Midtown Atlanta). By 1925 he had also built a larger annex on Hancock Street just east of Interstate 20 which became known as “The Crowne Plaza” because it housed both his store and range along with several other businesses used by airgun enthusiasts including model airplane builders/homebuilders/recreational shooters etc., as well as demonstrations by visiting instructors from around the country who would come down for summer exhibitions at The Crowne Plaza Airguns Range. Today this complex still stands within minutes’ walking distance from downtownAtlanta providing access for those interested in learning more about airguns history! During World War II there was significant growth within airgun enthusiasts due to military requirements for weaponry that included special types of ammunition designed for high performance action figures like tanks and bombers etc.; however despite wartime demand for higher quality products than ever before available civilian marketeers found themselves unable or unwilling to produce anything approaching equal levels of quality when compared against militarily produced items – something which unfortunately would continue into the postwar years until finallyAirgunsUSA came ontothe scene!

Forest Park is one of two cities in Fulton County and it is also part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The city was founded on December 12th, 1883 by businessmen John Witherspoon and James Lattimore as "New York City's second city". The name change to Forest Park on November 3rd, 1886 when land near Auburn Avenue and Peachtree Street was donated by Judge John Pemberton. In 1899, Forrest Park became one ofAtlanta's first incorporated settlements when it was annexed from Hyde Park. Forest Park experienced some growth during World War II as many soldiers were stationed there including General George Custer and Admiral Chester Nimitz. As a result of its military presence, Forest Park grew rapidly with an initial population of 382 in 1940 but the figure increased to 514 by 1950 due to immigration from Europe and other parts of the world. In 1960, ForestPark merged with neighboring Decatur Township which at that time had a population of 10,000 residents but soon after this merger numerous subdivisions were developed within what would become known as “The Parks” neighborhood consisting mostly or exclusively of single-family homes dating from around that time – primarily thanks to Harry Ackerman who built what would become known as Atlantan Homes (and later One Four Square). Today’s Downtown Forrestpark district still contains many examples both old-fashioned streetcar stops that are still operational (the last being Atterbury Place) as well as new high-rise development such Village West condominiums just off Allston Parkway/Highway 287E – all completed since 2005! With more than 21 million people now living within its borders; ForestPark has seen some dramatic changes over time: just take a walk through any shopping center you visit these days – chances are good you will have noticed something new along with updated signage advertising “The Parks” program which helps promote public transportation within the boundaries

In 1933, the park was renamed Piedmont Park after a donation from Dr. J.W. Pemberton. In 1959, the city annexed parts of Fulton County and added an area to the park that included much of Druid Hills including Forest Park’s original core area.
