Fayetteville is home to one of the most activegun ranges in the United States, and its history with firearms can be traced back to 1795. The first gun range in Fayetteville was established by Captain James Robertson, who opened it on what is now Bogart Place. At the time, Fayetteville was a small town of only 10,000 people, and munitions production at nearby arsenals (including Fort Moultrie) made it an important center for military gunnery. By 1805, the town had become an incorporated city and its own arsenal became a keystay of local defense. During the American Civil War (1861-1865), Fayetteville played a major role as both a Union garrison and battleground. In 1861, General Nathan Bedford Forrest led his Confederate cavalry north from Corinth to attack Union forces near Fayetteville; within minutes of their arrival, Union defenders had killed or captured more than 100 men from Forrest's brigade. The resulting siege forced Fort Moultrie into retirement and ended Confederate efforts to control much of eastern Georgia. As result of this battle and others like it throughout the war, artillerymen from across Georgia learned how to use field guns effectively in support of their troops. In 1865, aftermath of the Civil War left southern states facing Reconstruction challenges that required them to reestablish law and order without reliance on militias or open warfare. As part of this effort, Congress passed Major Act No 2 9 April 1865 establishingthe National Firearms Act (NFA). The NFA regulated interstate commerce in arms and created new federal regulatory agencies such as the Bureau Of Alcohol Tobacco And Firearms (ATF). Undercover agents working under cover of NFA regulations background Check Program thoroughly inspected firearm dealers during 1965-1966 season alone; results showed that significant numbers—more than half—of all transfers involving handguns were idly through unlicensed suppliers not registered with ATF nor authorized by state officials responsible for regulating such activities! Unregulated black marketeers exploited loophole opening up due NRA definition changes which included lengthening magazine capacity from 15 rounds per pistol grip magazine up to 25 rounds per magazine plus available Anschutz ammunition types including shotguns chambered for .22 LR rimfire cartridges! The ATF Enforcement Division quickly closed many millions additional violations points leading to convictions over 5 million Americans!!!

In 1833, Andrew Johnson was elected president of the United States and his first act as President was to sign into law the Indian Removal Act which led to mass migration of Native Americans from their traditional homes in what is now Alabama and Tennessee to Oklahoma Territory where they were forced to sell their land or be killed by Ulysses S. Grant's army. This event is known as The Trail Of Tears. After taking office, Johnson began implementing policies that favored white settlement over Native American communities across America including giving away land to whites for free while encouraging development within Indian Country through legislation such as The Kansas Agreement which allowed Arkansas Territory to annex Indian Territory without consent from then-chief Indian agent James Kenton; also helping open up western lands for colonization by European Americans through various treaties signed between Britain and France; all while disregarding requests from Cherokee Nation leaders who desired autonomy within their own country rather than joining forces with neighboring nations under British control). As president, Johnson also increased military tensions between America and Great Britain resulting in several skirmishes along the US-Canadian border during his term including Battle Of Fort Donelson (186), Atchafalaya River War (1867), Red River Expedition (1868) In 1865Johnson was impeached due to allegations he misled Congress about whether or not he had knowledge regarding Abraham Lincoln's assassination – an event which would later lead directly to Reconstruction following Reconstruction era laws passed following his ouster. Despite being removed from office via impeachment proceedings before being acquitted on all charges by a House vote after three days' trial (the shortest trial ever held in history), Johnson remains considered one of America's most controversial presidents due to his actions leading up to & aftermath of The Civil War

Fayetteville is a city in the U.S. state of Georgia, on the Chattahoochee River. The population was 56,992 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Fayette County. Fayetteville is home to both UGA and Atlanta United FC, one of the few professional soccer teams in North America that are not affiliated with any major league team. The first permanent settler in what is now Fayetteville was James Cook who arrived there in 1785. Cook named his new settlement for General George Washington as part of Treaty of Paris after his victory over Russia at Yorktown during the American Revolutionary War. The town site itself was chosen because it lay near two fords which would provide easy access to trade with Indian nations east of Georgia and southward into Florida and Alabama. Fayetteville's growth continued unabated through most of the 1800s, thanks largely to its strategic location at one end of a long wagon road connecting Athens (the capital) with Chattanooga (the largest city in Tennessee) and Birmingham (the largest city in Alabama). Wagon Road made it possible for farmers to transport goods from Athens downriver to Chattanooga and then on to Mobile, Pensacola, Jacksonville and other centres on the Gulf Coast; while also giving traders an easy way to move materials upriver into Creek country beyond Chattanooga. In 1825, Fayetteville became one of several towns located along newly formed constitutional lines within Georgia when all but three Cherokee Nation villages were excluded from Georgia by Article XVIII – which organized Georgia into a federal system – following war between Cherokee nation members numbering more than 20,000 and white settlers numbering only about 10%. After some years’ struggle by citizens & politicians over who should control public education & voting rights within their own community & against encroachment by outside interests such as cotton mills & lumberyards located close-by (& about 3/4 mile away still), local residents finally ratified an ordinance granting voting rights to all male citizens over 21 years old by November 1827! Fayetteville was founded in 1799 as a trading post on the Chattahoochee River. The city's first mayor, James White, served from 1800 to 1801. Fayetteville became an official U.S. town in 1802 and was named for General John Fayette, who helped defeat British forces during the American Revolution. The town's first school was built in 1806 and its first store opened in 1808. In 1861, Confederate General Robert Ewell moved his army into Georgia from Chattanooga after Learning that Union forces were moving towards Atlanta. After the Battle of Peachtree Creek on October 20th, 1861, Fayetteville became a key strategic location as Confederate troops besieged Union soldiers at Fort Sumter within view of the city center. On December 15th, 1861, Union troops stormed the fort and burned it down; this event is commonly recognized as the beginning of the Civil War in Georgia.
