Today, Ropecon Holdings LLC is responsible for selling products across all aspects of firearm manufacturing including firearms retail stores as well as providing online sales and distribution services to customers around the world. They also own and operate several manufacturing plants across North America that produce both handguns and rifles.

The town was founded in 1817 by Welsh immigrants as Eastville and named for nearby East Point Shoals on the Chattahoochee River. In 1828, the county seat was moved from Eastville to Macon and Eastville became a village. In 1842, the name of the town changed to Eastpoint because of its location on an east-west trading route between Mobile and Savannah. In 1861, during the American Civil War, Confederate General Robert E. Lee's army passed through Eastpoint on their way to battle at Gettysburg. A store burned down in 1865 and again in 1870; these fires led to what is now known as "The Fire Years". In 1888, John Wesley Hardin established a cotton gin here which became one of Georgia's leading cotton textile companies. The firm continued until it merged with another company in 1922. During World War II, local residents helped build airfields near their homes for use by the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF). One such field was Macon Field located just outside of town on Hwy 541/Macon Rd., about 10 miles north-northwest of downtown Atlanta
