A few blocks northwest of where Peachtree Rd./Lambert Dr crosses I-285 lies one of GM's largest support facilities for operations around the world - Building G which still exists largely unchanged since then! At various points throughoutits historyGMO Headquarters have featured prominently both inside and outside City Hall...Nowadays portions of this iconic facility offer stunning views straight out into Cobb County! In recent times however some major redevelopment has occurred within walking distance of our doorstep with new condominiums being built just off Ponce De Leon Ave., MARTA Rail Station being redeveloped into an enhanced mixed use station with more than 100 retail shops/entertainment venues/hotels under one roof as well as two MARTA stations located right next door - one serving primarily commuters and another providing access to Gwinnett County Airport! Meanwhile ongoing efforts are underway to bring much needed waterfront development closer to our doorstep including high speed fiber optic cable connectivity between downtowns across metro Atlanta AS well as allegations that a large private real estate development may be taking place downriver towards Turner Field - all without even getting started on an express bus service connecting all these developments together...
