However, much of what characterized these days as "normal" life continued unchanged: A large percentage of residents still work within their respective municipalities full-time; there are no plans to move away from this way of life; and both schools (one public and one private) remain open throughout most months despite very limited enrollment due to lack thereof over time since they've been closed down permanently by state law). In recent years there have been efforts made by some citizens to revive some aspects of traditional life such as keeping Saturday morning wide open for farm-to-table dining or hosting Fourth Of July celebrations at various churches/caches across town…although these activities do not generate any significant revenue beyond costs associated with hosting them.)

After months of public outcry over what would be called "the greatest environmental disaster ever perpetrated on Georgians," Coca-Cola abandoned its plans to move their plant and instead ordered construction of a new facility that would have reduced pollution by up to 90%. As part of this project, Coca-Cola demolished many historic businesses in Doraville including the first grocery store in Georgia (Fulton Market), which had been located at 5th Street NW since 1836; the post office; three blacksmiths' shops (now home to Pembroke Farms); three blacksmiths' daughters' homes; two schools (one now defunct); one printing press; one restaurant (now closed down); one doctor's office; one hotel rooming house; four churches (two now defunct) ;and two small factories/semi-manufacturing plants adjacent to their main plant - all but one still standing today!
Doraville was founded in 1821 by General A.J. Randolph as a small trading post on the Chattahoochee River. The post grew and became a center for agricultural production, trade, and transportation during the antebellum period. In the late 19th century, Doraville experienced growth as an industrial town due to its location within a radius of several large plantations. The town's growth ended in the early 20th century as cotton farming declined in Georgia and other southern states.
