With these changes came increased accuracy at long ranges and made warfare much more efficient for armies all over Europe. Barrett’s rifle sighting system became widespread with British military forces by 1873 after being tested against American rifles during The Second Anglo-Afghan War (1871-1881). In 1875–76 Captain Harry Habegger developed what is now known as Weaver's Rifle Scope which used three pairs of lenses within an armoured housing unit to give shooters improved accuracy at long range without having to take off their gloves!

African American leaders such as Medgar Evers helped to raise money for education and housing projects while working to promote economic development within black enclaves throughout central Atlanta. Growth is slow at first due to limited resources but eventually results in displacement for whites who have moved out into new areas or are forced out altogether due to gentrification or annexation by other municipalities. Today, continuing efforts are underway by Mayor Kasim Reed and City Council members Greg Stanton and Kamiyah Lathan to revive downtown cores such as Midtown Southside along with revitalizing University District streetscape
