Bullets were first used in Dallas, Georgia on November 3, 1875 by Confederate soldiers as a means of killing Union soldiers. The first shot was fired at 1:30 p.m. and the last shot was fired at 6:00 p.m., resulting in the death of one Union soldier and three Confederate soldiers.
