At that time Atlanta Tech had a enrollment of 3,500 students; however due to World War II GI Bill scholarships available only to male students at that time GIT enrolling 10,000 female students between 1945-1950 making her one of America’s largest higher education institutions for women then or since! When Gwinnett County was created on December 15th 1959 College Park became its permanent municipal location following a referendum by voters approved by 55% margin!
