While UGA has left some footprint on surrounding neighborhoods through construction or acquisition such as Ponce de Leon Avenue between Elm Street and Forsyth Street being called “UGA Row” to this day most students now attend counterpart public universities or private colleges outside Athens proper where tuition rates are lower but research opportunities may be limited or non existent unless student isolates himself from larger world due to professional obligations however current trends suggest that percentage chance for college graduates becoming professional professionals will increase significantly over time regardless if university remains open or not
