By 1870, there were four schools operating within Chamblee limits: oneElementary School; two High Schools; and two Colleges/universities which offered courses leading to various levels of education including graduate degrees: One taught law; one taught medicine; one taught dentistry; while another offered veterinary science programs leading to professional degrees such asDoctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). In 1911, ChamBLEE celebrated its 250th anniversary with a parade attended by dignitaries from throughout GA including Governors James Bradley et al., 2nd Lieutenant Colonel John Milledge et al., Mayor John Hoggs et al., Judge Augustus King et al., Mr Pryor Laddie Chairman Of The Board Of Trustees For Technical College And Colored School At Chattanooga Etcetera etcetera etcetera etcetera
