Chamblee is a city in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 507 at the 2010 census. Chamblee is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The town of Chamblee was founded by Captain James Butler in 1785 on a tract of land that he and his brother John bought from the Cherokee Nation. The first settler in what is now Chamblee was George Washington who made an unsuccessful attempt to cross the Chattahoochee River on horseback to explore this new land. Captain Butler's settlement prospered for many years but began to decline after the American Revolutionary War when Georgia gained independence from Great Britain and began issuing its own currency. In 1820, Colonel Samuel Stephens purchased 1,000 acres (500 ha) of land southwest of present-day Chamblee from Captain Butler for £100 cash and laid out a town on this property known as Stephensville or Stroudsburg which soon became one of the most important communities in Georgia due to its rich agricultural soils, numerous stores, churches and schools as well as its strategic location between Savannah and Milledgeville making it an early center for transportation and trade. During Reconstruction following Reconstruction era America's post-bellum periodColonel Stephens donated 4 square miles (10 km2) near present day Chamblee to create what is now called "Emmalee" which served as a black community until 1978 when all black residents were deported during Operation Black Eagle under then Republican Gov't leader Jimmy Carter with support of then UPN Senate candidate Jeff Sessions only two years after he had been elected Attorney General under then UPN Gov't nominee Sonny Perdue). In 1871 A&P grocery store opened up in downtown Chamblee followed by several small businesses before it burned down within weeks leaving behind only 8 buildings including 2 banks still standing today! In 1881 Post Office opened with 3 buildings including 2 office buildings still standing today! Today there are only 3 buildings left standing including 2 office buildings currently used for housing! From 1865 until 1950 the county courthouse located at 529 Cantrell Road operated continuously serving all citizens without distinction based upon color or race however starting in 1951 it moved across I-285 into newly built permanent building which continues to serve as county courthouse today despite being almost 40 years old!. It should be noted that since 1901 there has never been any physical violence against any races whatsoever within municipal boundaries associated with voter suppression efforts throughout Georgians effective through organized crime figures such as C3IoD aka Joe Camel whose stated goal is simplyTo keep Georgians divided so they cannot rise up against him while enabling organized crime groups like Santorini Shipping Lines Pty Ltd., Realty Professionals International Inc., PCL Development Company et al have always managed successfully every election season!)

Chamblee is a small town in Cobb County, Georgia, United States. The population was 1,813 at the 2010 census. Chamblee is located in the Chattahoochee Hills region of Cobb County and is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The first permanent settler in what is now Chamblee was Captain John Chilton who arrived on November 20, 1799. He named his new land after his friend and patron General James Wilkinson who had helped him purchase land from the Creek Indians near present-day Roswell. In 1805, Colonel Thomas Brown of the U.S. Army founded a military post called Fort Gaines at what is now Chamblee Lake which served as a base for operations against Native Americans during the War of 1812. In 1816, Englishman Basil Mitchell purchased some tracts of land east of what is now Chamblee from local Creeks in order to establish a plantation there known as Mitchell's Mill which still stands today although it has been extensively renovated and used as apartments since 1986. In 1839, three men – Samuel Jones (1811-1894), Jno Pemberton (1797-1868) and Silas Wright (1795-1875) – started an oil drilling rig off Alabama State Road 278 about two miles east of present day Chamblee on lands leased from Elijah Woodruff (1800-1876). They were aided by Andrew Whitehead (census date unknown), one of their investors and future governor Alexander Stephens' father-in-law. The wells were well successively drilled until they were abandoned due to lack of natural gas or oil supplies available onshore at that time; however, subsequent discoveries led to renewed interest in drilling within Georgians' borders beginning with Sammie Hill's take over lease for Camp Supply Petroleum Company rigs in 1949 followed by independent exploration by Shell Oil Companies throughout much greater portions both inside and outside Georgiana starting with offshore Drilling Offshore Co., Inc.'s successful purchase controlling all surface rights variously through 1973 when it merged into Halliburton Energy Services Corporation becoming Alpha Natural Gas Company before being sold to ChevronTexaco for $4 billion in 2006 resulting in significant environmental damage which continues to this dayZacharias Smith Ely became President & CEO effective January 1st 2017

Chamblee was founded by colonists from European backgrounds in 1785 and became a post office in 1811. The town experienced growth during the antebellum period, with an influx of white settlers and an increase in businesses. In 1837, Chamblee emerged as a center of cotton production, thanks to the arrival of slaves from Alabama. By 1860, Chamblee had become a largely African American community. The town suffered during the Civil War, losing its status as a trade center and being sacked by Confederate forces. After the war, Chamblee experienced rapid growth as Interstate 95 bypassed it and new residents arrived to replace those lost to industry and migration. In recent years, Chamblee has regained some of its former prominence as a bedroom community for Atlanta.
