From 1971 through 1979, Chatham Broadcasting System operated television station WAGV-TV which served as the community's only outlet until satellite service arrived 15 years later with WCPS-TV serving the area until 2002 when WTOG-TV came online from Chattanooga, Tennessee. Today Chamblee still features one commercial radio station WGCL AM with programming originating from Duluth including country formatted speech shows morning through night; talk shows Wednesdays through Fridays 8:00 am - 10:00 pm; along with some afternoon newscasts available hourly throughout the day about various local stories/events going on around town including fireworks displays & more!
