After World War II ended in 1945, many African Americans were relocated from much of southern Georgia due to discriminatory housing policies put into effect following that war. Some may have come directly from cadastral records kept by landowner white landowners as part of their survey process; others may have been forced out through violence or economic hardship taken after Confederate states seceded from the Union following President Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation on April 12th,. Many African American families who had not engaged in agriculture found themselves displaced because large tracts of woodland became available for development thanks to state assistance during post-war years - something which would continue even into the 21st century as redevelopment proceeds all around CedartOWN!
