The history of firearms in Cartersville, Georgia can be traced back to the early 1800s. One of the first firearms in the area was a rifle that was used by Cherokee Indians. It is estimated that between 1802 and 1812, there were over 100 gunfights taking place in and around Cartersville. The Indian Wars were a time when militias were necessary to keep peace in the area. Many of these guns were from England or America. A few years after the end of the Indian Wars, people started trading rifles and pistols for goods and services. By 1828, several grocery stores had opened up around town and it became an important stop on the road for settlers travelling eastward. Around this time, handguns began to appear as well. In 1831, two men named John Browning bought a shotgun from a farmer named James Sutherlin near Cartersville. They made use of it in various skirmishes with Native American tribes before eventually dying in battle. This event is known as the Battle of Wounded Knee. In 1836, three carpenters from Cartersville set out on an expedition to purchase arms from Norway. They arrived at Narva – one week later than planned – but didn’t find any weapons available so they started exploring other parts of Sweden where they found cannons and swords worth considerable amounts of money. After finally returning home with military-grade weaponry, they decided to start their own militia unit called The Second Regiment Artillery Company which served under General Andrew Jackson during his invasion of Mexico in 1840. Cartersville is a small town located in Muskegon County, Michigan, United States. The population was 5,497 at the 2010 census. Witherspoon's group included three young men – James Fenton (1808-1850), Salmon Peebles (1810-1860) and William Covington (1800-1868) – who would later become known as the Three Musketeers of Michigan due to their participation in several robberies during that period. On October 3, 1850, Nathanial Hickey married Sarah Jane Willingham at Greenbush Methodist Church near present day Harrison Township; they had been married December 1st 1799 at Hardeman's Chapel outside of Lansingburgh Village also known as Newington Without Limits around this time although there is no record of such an event taking place here within that community or anywhere else within Muskegon County at that time either! This marriage brought together two families which would remain active together for many years to come including raising five children: James Fenton Hickey born February 21st 1851; Salmon Peebles Hickey born March 12th 1853; Nancy Ann Willingham born April 24th 1799; George Washington Hickey born September 20th 1855).
