The Carrollton Rifle Club was formed in 1865 and has been shooting at Hartsfield AFB since then. The club has a rich history of firearm safety, dating back to the early days of firearms when pistols were the only option for Protection against Home Invasion. In 1892, the club introduced its first rifle, the Model 1895. This rifle quickly became known as “The Carrollton Rifle” because it was made in Cartridge Factory located in Carrollton, Georgia. The Model 1895 is still considered one of the best rifles available today for protection from home invasions and other threats to personal security. In 1914, the club enacted a policy that all members must have a hunting license in order to participate in any NRA sanctioned events or hunts. This restriction was placed on the club due to concerns about potential competitors who did not have appropriate firearms qualifications. Since then, we have continued to grow our rifle program with new models and technologies which are designed specifically forprotection against home invaders and other threats. There are different types of shooting protection, but the three most important are shields, helmets and pants. Shields are devices that protect your head from damage when you fire a gun. There are two types of shields: padded and hard. A padded shield will reduce the chance of causing head injury if it is hit. Hard shields, such as those made with metal plates or spikes, provide more security and cannot be penetrated by bullets. Helmets protect your head from being struck by projectiles while you shoot and also provide some degree of safety from falling objects or other people on the ground. Helmets come in both standard and custom designs to fit a unique individual’s needs. Custom-made helmets offer multiple features such as sensors that track bullet trajectories and alerts you when shots have been fired, which can save lives. Pants provide some level of modesty while shooting, preventing other shooters from seeing what you are wearing and potentially injuring you in the process. Pants should be worn at all times while hunting or during any activity where clothing could get caught on something dangerous, such as fishing equipment or tree limbs

Carrollton is a small city in Troup County, Georgia, United States. The population was 9,811 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Troup County and home to the Carrollton-Fayetteville school system. The town was first settled in 1826 by Augustus W. Carrol and his brother James A. Carrol as part of a land grant from Georgia Governor John Wesley Hill. The two brothers named their new town after their father, Carroll (1763-1836), who had been governor of Georgia for three years prior to that. By 1830, most of the original settlers had moved away or died from disease brought over by the slave trade during the antebellum period. Only a handful of families remained until 1876 when Josephine Kizer bought 2,000 acres (1 km2) of land east of town and began building what would become Kizer College on it. The early residents were prominent citizens in local politics and business; some are still remembered today such as Jno Pritchett (1914-2006), mayor from 1978 to 1986, who served as both a Democrat and Republican member of the Troup County Council; and Hilda Kirsch (1905-1992), widow of World War II veteran Harry Siever Kirsch, who chaired the Board of Trustees at Kizer College from its inception until her death in 1992. In 1982–1983, then Mayor Jno Pritchett spearheaded construction on what would become Carrollton Hospital which opened its doors on October 1st that year with just over 100 patients being treated there at one time! In 1979–1980s much progress was made with development around Town Center including new housing developments along Interstate 285/290 which now encompasses much parts of downtown Carrollton; these developments include Crossroads Crossing apartments – now known as “Grandma’s Place” – which replaced an earlier shopping center built by developer Rufus Searles; Midtown Plaza – now known as “Town Square” – also located within Downtown Carrollton;[5] Stroud Tower apartment complex[6] ;[7][8][9] ; First Baptist Church across I-285 from Midtown Plaza[10]) ; Asphalt Road Apartments,[11],[12] [13], [14],[15]; Clinton Presidential Library Annexe,[16],[17] . By 2006 only about 50% remaining parking spaces were available for tenants at anchor buildings within Downtown Carrollton while many smaller businesses have since closed due to lack space or competition from larger businesses near downtown.[18][19][/column][/row][/section][/section][/table][/body

Carrollton was founded by John Carroll in 1795. The town developed around a mill and gristmill, which were the first to be erected in the area. By 1825, Carrollton had a population of 100 residents and was served by a post office and one school. In 1872, the first railroad was built through the town, making it an important transportation center. During World War II, Carrollton played an important role as a munitions plant. After the war, the town experienced growth thanks to new highways and businesses that moved into the area. Today, Carrollton is home to several large institutions including Georgia State University and The Coca-Cola Company.
