Carrollton is a city in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 25,772 at the 2010 census. It is the most populous city in Fulton County and it is also one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. Carrollton was founded by General James Hogg in 1802 on land that he purchased from the Creek Nation. The town name originated from an Old English word meaning "a place whereeth cattle." In 1828, General Andrew Jackson moved his headquarters from Nashville to Carrollton after key victories against Native Americans at Battle of Fallen Timbers and Battle of San Jacinto. The site of present day Carrollton was once part of Jacksonville Township. The first store in what is now Carrollton opened on May 10, 1828. By 1830, there were 10 stores and 7 tanneries in the town. By 1840, there were 30 stores and 8 tanneries in town. In 1860, Carruths Fire destroyed most of downtown but did not destroy all business records so it is difficult to date exactly when new businesses began to open downtown (although this seems likely). In 1870, four miles south of town along State Route 434 were two small plantations called "Fruitlands" by planter John Slaughter who had been brought over by Colonel Troup during the American Revolution as part of a slave trade purchase program organized by Kirby Smith. Slaughter's plantation became known as "Carroll's Forest". After several years during which no white people lived there (Slaughter died young), black families moved into fruitlands beginning around 1880 beginning with Ebenezer Ellison and his wife Nannie who had bought 160 acres near what are now Union High School and Sanford Middle School; these families formed what would become known as "The Negroes." A school for African American children operated on Fruitlands until it closed around 1915 due to racial integration; then a library service started providing books for African Americans began serving residents on Capitol Hill between 1921-1929 before finally opening its doors to all citizens starting Oct 1st 1959 when segregation ended statewide In 1977 carollerTON annexed parts northeastof CarrolTON including Dunwoody & Sandy Springs

With the development of new technology such as breechloading pistols, modern firearms have been able to use much faster rounds that can easily be loaded into the chamber without having to reload (i.e., semiautomatic pistols).

Carrollton is a city in Cherokee County, Georgia, United States. The population was 10,812 at the 2010 census. It is the most populous city in Cherokee County and the second-most populous city in Georgia. Carrollton is home to the University of Phoenix and numerous other businesses and organizations. The area that now makes up Carrollton was originally called Byram Settlement, named after Colonel John Byram who organized a group of farmers near present-day Cleveland, Georgia in 1785. The first permanent settler around what is now Carrollton was James Auld who arrived on his horse Peg Leg around 1796. He built a log cabin on the current site of downtown Carrollton about 1800. Aldermen John White and James McMillan purchased land east of present-day downtown from Auld in 1802 to build what would become known as White Hall Cemetery which stands today on what used to be Auld's farmstead. This cemetery also contains some of the earliestbells found anywhere in this area which date back to about 1802 when Drury erected one for use by Christian families living northeast ofpresent day Chattanooga, Tennessee In 1807 Rev George Jones founded Baptist Church with six members inside an old millrace north of town near where Interstate 20 presently exits onto Old Hwy 19th Street/State Route 301 (present day US 321). Reverend Jones had come across Indian artifacts while traveling through Cherokee Nation territory travelling northwest from Athens, Georgia when he met Creek Indians led by Chief *Sir William Moore* at a creek where they were hunting deer onOctober 25th 1807 during Major Robert Hicks' expedition against the Creek Indians under General Andrew Jackson Many early settlers came into this area specifically because there were no white settlements within gunshot range: There were only two or three small missions scattered throughout much of southeast Alabama and southwest Mississippi that had been established by Spanish missionaries following their arrival in these areas during Spanish rule over these regions; however, there were NO white settlements within rifle range OF any Indian village! In fact many frontier men preferred not to venture too far out into Indian country since it could be dangerous (nor anymore did they have any reliable information concerning such things since contact with Native Americans had ceased completely several hundred miles due westward beyond the Great Lakes region) so much so that one man alone - Captain David Stroud - formed an independent company consisting exclusivelyof men over 21 years old appointed by General Wilkinson for this purpose known as THE "OLD JERRY" COMPANY .
