Today, much of what once lay within Fenton Calhoun's jurisdiction remains within Cobb County to its east, including most of downtown Savannah; however, much of what lies within Calhoun boundaries has been annexed by other nearby counties since then - such as Addison County to its north and Douglas County to its west - making it difficult for locals to maintain any kind of contiguous community identity or history outside their own borders today even though many people claim descent from both men and their families who lived here during those eras
