Gun targets have been a part of Atlanta’s history for over 100 years. The first targets were made out of wood and then metal, but the popularity of artillery in the late 19th century led to the development of more complex target systems. The early 20th century saw the introduction of paper targets and finally metal ones in 1916. In Bainbridge, gunners from both military and civilian positions would take aim at these beautiful objects during training exercises or competitions. Many people that lived in Bainbridge during this time were also affiliated with either the military or artillery, so it is no surprise that there are many examples of firearm weaponry used within the town itself. One target that is especially well-known is the “Butterfly” which was located on Broad Street just outside of downtown Bainbridge. It was originally built as a paper target to help shoot practice by military personnel. Today, it still remains a popular spot for shooters to take aim at while enjoying some lunch or dinner nearby.

Bainbridge is a small town in Clayton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. Bainbridge is part of the Athens-Clarke metropolitan area. The first settlers in what is now Bainbridge were farmers who came from England in the late 18th century. They started agrarian society and raised corn and other crops on their farms. By 1854, there were seven buildings in Bainbridge - one store, two churches, and one school. The first post office was established in that year. In 1870, a sawmill was built; it remained operational until 1966. In 1892, Arta Hargrave donated land to create the town of Bainbridge Township; it became a full municipality in 1903. The present day downtown district of Bainbridge was developed after World War II when many new homes were built near military bases around Atlanta and Gainesville Georgia as people fled war-torn Europe and North America during that time period. Bainbridge is home to many different types of businesses including: banks (JPMorgan Chase & Co., Wells Fargo), professional services (Dentist Drury & McLaughlin PLLC), health care (AJC Health Care System), manufacturing (BMW Automobiles USA LLC), retail stores ( Sears Holdings Corporation) and restaurants (Grill Grille). Many major events take place throughout the year such as Greek Festival on July 4th whichdraws over 100,000 people to the town limits; Homecoming week on October 15th which features numerous cultural attractions like antique shows etc.; local high school marching band championships held every fall/winter; municipal election held every four years with various candidates running for various office positions; Georgian New Year's Eve Parade which attracts tens of thousands of people from all over metro Atlanta

Bainbridge is a small town in Cobb County, Georgia, United States. The population was 1,846 at the 2010 census. Bainbridge is located on the Chattahoochee River and is bordered by Marietta to the north, Smyrna to the east, Roswell to the south, and Peachtree City to the west. The first settlers of Bainbridge were Methodists who arrived in 1807. The name "Bainbridge" was derived from a bend in the Chattahoochee River where they built their cabin. In 1828, General James Gadsden moved his garrison of Confederate troops from Fort Pickens to what is now Bainbridge after they were unsuccessful in defeating forces loyal to Ulysses S. Grant at Battle of Gaines's Mill. In 1835, John Hargrave founded Hargrave & Company which became one of the leading paper manufacturers in Georgia. After moving its manufacturing operations from Atlanta to Bainbridge in 1840, Hargrave & Company changed its name to Jardine Bros. Paper Merchants and continued as such until 1907 when it merged with Browning-Hamilton Paper Co., Inc., becoming Browning-Hamilton Paper Corp.. The company was acquired by Wiegand Paper Company in 1948 and by Dow Chemical Corporation in 1959 before being sold again (the last time it was traded hands) to AEP Exploration Co., Ltd., an oil exploration company based out of Houston, Texas in 1984 before being auctioned off as part of AEP's 1987 bankruptcy sale. Today few businesses still operate within Grady Hall Road boundaries including Jardine Bros./Hargrave Paper Merchants Incorporated (now part of MSC Global plc.), Dow Chemical Corporation (Dow AgroSciences), AEP ExplorationCo., Ltd.(AEP Energy) and Wiegand Paper Company (formerly Wegman paper). Withdrawn from use are two grain elevators that once processed tens of millions gallons of corn each day for local farmers; both have been converted into housing developments since 1980s when these industries closed down due largely to changes wrought by global oil prices: One building has been demolished and replaced with a shopping mall while another has been preserved as a working farm museum operated by Friends Of The Farm Foundation since 1992.) Jardine Bros./HargravePaper Merchants Incorporated ceased business operations on November 15th 2014 citing lack of demand for products made years ago
Bainbridge was founded in 1790 by Captain John Bainbridge and his wife, Elizabeth. The town grew quickly due to its natural resources, including coal, timber, and salt. In 1828, Bainbridge became the first city in Georgia when it was incorporated as a municipality. The city has since grown to include over 45 buildings and an active community of over 100 residents. Bainbridge is known for its Museum of Art and its annual summerfest which features music, food, and fun.
