It is with sadness that we must report the passing of one of America's most respected and knowledgeable scopes collectors, Donny Bussell. A long time member of the Acworth telescope club, he was a deeply committed collector and restorer of old telescopes. He was also an expert on acoustics and had a great interest in African American history. Donny was born in Acworth, Georgia in 1951. After graduating from high school he studied engineering at Southern Illinois University Carbondale and then worked as an engineer for Philips Electronics before becoming a dealer in old telescopes. In 2000, he founded the Acworth Telescope Club which continues to be one of the most active clubs in America for antique telescope enthusiasts. He was president of the club for twelve years, during which time he introduced many new members to the hobby. Donny's passion for collecting began when he first saw an old telescope at a swap meet while working as an engineer. He soon became interested in restoration work on these beautiful instruments and has been restoring vintage telescopes ever since. His skills as a restorer have won him numerous awards including two prestigious JW Marriott Awards (the highest recognition given to collectors). In addition to his hobbies, Donny enjoyed playing golf (he played professional courses around Atlanta) listening to music or reading books while taking breaks between repairs or acquisitions. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him - especially those who shared his love ofOld World cultures and their artistry through his collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts!

There is no one specific way to spot a scope, but some tips on how to do so include keeping an eye on the magnification level (the size of the image), looking for features in the images that stand out, and making sure the optics are clear. Additionally, it’s important to be conscious of your surroundings when using a scope. If you see someone or something that could distract you from your target, be aware and take steps to avoid them.

Scope spotting is a hobby that can be enjoyed by anyone who loves to collect optics. In fact, one of the earliest scopes in existence was a simple three-inch refractor that was used to track the movements of birds. The popularity of scope hunting has led to the development of more sophisticated instruments, such as modern 6x42mm riflescopes and 5x50mm binoculars. There are many different types and brands of optics available on the market today, so it is important to do your research before buying any new product. One of the most popular types of scopes for hunting is a 3- or 4-meter Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. These telescopes have been used for centuries for observing stars and planets, making them some of the most versatile pieces of equipment ever invented. One common issue with using scopes for Hunting is that they require a lot of focus power in order to see anything at all beyond about 30 degrees from your eye. This power can be too much for some people, leading them to use simpler weapons such as pistols or shotguns instead. In addition, many hunters find it difficult to hold onto their rifles while looking through their scope because their hands are constantly moving back and forth across the instrument’s large surface area. To overcome these difficulties, many experienced hunters use objectives (lens caps) in order to restrict movement while viewing objects at close range.

The first scopes were made in China around the year 1000. They were called jiaozi and had a convex lens with a small aperture. The magnification was only about 8x.

Spotting scopes is a great way to improve your hunting photos and videos. By using a spotting scope, you can see what's in front of your target from a much higher perspective than if you were looking through a regular rifle or shotgun. You also get an accurate view of your surroundings so you can make better decisions when hunting. Here are some tips on how to spot scopes while hunting: 1) Open the optics of your spotting scope and adjust the focus to get an accurate view of your target. 2) Stay calm and don't try to overpower the magnification on yourscope with too much force. This will distort the image quality and make it difficult for you to see what's in front of your target at all times. 3) When stalking game, keep close together so that everyone is within easy reach of theirtarget. If one person tries to take advantage of the high magnification on theirscope, they may miss their target entirely! 4) Be sure not to point directly at yourtarget- this will cause distortions in the image quality that will be difficult for you to see any details inside the target. Instead, point away from the target and use a long rangefinder instead!
