In addition to downtown Zephyrhills proper (the "town center"), there are six other villages: Ansonia (northwest), Barefoot Bayou (southwest), Belleair Lakeshawn Estates (northeast), Birchwood Manor (southwest), Clearwater Beach Estates (southeast), Coveys Landing Hammocks (.8 mile offshore from cape Coveys) and Cypress Creek Village (.5 mile north of US 27/US 41). The largest single employer in town is PECO Energy who employ about 2,500 people across nineteen factories and plants in town along with approximately 150 retail tenants including Winn Dixie Supermarkets & Warehouse Centers; Lowe's Home Improvement stores; Publix Super Markets; Kmart; Champions Pizza Delivery; Carrabba's Italian Restaurant & Pasta House; Dairy Queen - Zone 5Restaurants only serve food that comes prepped or prepped for delivery which includes pizza crusts frozen on site starting at 7am local time seven days a week during prime meal times like breakfast or lunchtime... Additionally PECO has contributed $5 million towards redevelopment within downtown ZephYRHILLS since 2002 through their Community Development Block Grant program which provides development funding towards different types of communityimprovement such as affordable housing developments for low income households as well as commercial areas such as new businesses/retail storefronts or Revitalization Zone areas that have characteristics that draw attention to private property adjacent to public infrastructure so it can be used more responsibly for economic development rather than just leased out to developers... This effort has resulted in more than 100 jobs being created specifically surrounding PECO energy company headquarters alone since 2002... ZEPHYRHILLS WAS MENTIONED IN THE BOOK "THE DAILY GOSSIP OF ORLANDO" BY WILLIAM GOLDING AND IT WAS CLEARED THAT THE AUTHOR HAD BEEN TO TOWN ON A WORK VISIT IN 1961 AND RECORDED THIS IN HIS NOTEBOOK AS 'ZEPHYR HILS'.
