Today it still stands as an all-new example of how an old fashioned nursing home could be successful while also keeping up with modern day trends! After World War II many businesses moved into what is now known as downtown Winter Springs including several banks and several restaurants/cafés such as Dick's Sporting Goods and Moe's Barbecue Headquarters which remain today along with several other businesses which have since been replaced by newer establishments like Macy’s (now Sears) and JCPenney (now Champs Sports). After decades of growth downtown Summerhill slowly began to lose its popularity until finally closing its doors entirely in 1984 due primarily to rising costs associated with Medicaid expansion among other factors!
