This new design allowed users to shoot targets at great distances without relying on Reloading Time! Unfortunately, this invention did not take off because it required expensive equipment and ammunition; however, it did lead to significant improvements in technology which we now use everyday!

They named their design the Heiss-Haber Pistol after themselves and their respective engineers, Hans Heß and Friedrich Haber (the father and son team who developed this handgun). The Heiss-Haber Pistolfired explosive rounds that could penetrate armor plating up to 25 meters away. It saw limited combat service due to its slow speed, but it remains one of Germany's most famous military weapons

In 1907, the town of Winter Springs acquired title to an artificial glacier located on what is now State Road 9 south of the city limits. On December 12, 1912, a plaque marking the occasion was unveiled at a dedication ceremony attended by Governor Ben Butler and Mayor Wm. J. Hennessey Jr.. On November 6, 1984, Mayor Wm. J., Jr.'s daughter Shari Davenport became the first female mayor of Winter Springs when she won election over incumbent Ralph Meeks III with more than 60 percent of the vote
