The company that was founded by these businessmen, Olin Optics, continued to make and sell rifles scopes until the mid-1980s. For example, the first rifle scope ever made was designed by Nicholas-Jacques Conte and it was called the “Cannoneer”. This scope featured an 8x50mm objective lens with a metal body that could be used with any firearm. In 2008, this Range also became home to another rifle range when The Olin Corporation renovated their old building on US-441A near State Road 436 into an indoor/outdoor rifle range with targets and rifles available for rent or purchase from various dealers throughout the state of Florida

Winter Park is a town in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. It was incorporated on December 5, 1912. The population was 362 at the 2000 census. The name "Winter Park" is derived from an English phrase meaning "place where it snows." The first settler in Winter Park was Julius Wernick and his family who arrived in 1887. They named their property after the City of Prague which they had just visited. They were among the first to purchase land in what is now Winter Park. In 1912, Winter Park became a town with a population of 350 people. A year later, it annexed the neighboring communities of Meadowlark and Belleair Springs. The post office was established at Winter Park on October 14, 1914 and remained open until 1978 when it was closed due to budget cuts by then- Mayor Dick Schaefer's administration. A new post office opened at Hollywood Hills on February 12, 1977 which remains open today as part of ZIP Code 33401
Winter Park, Florida was founded in 1882 by J.P. Morgan and his partners as a winter resort on the Indian Key Peninsula. In 1905, the name was changed to Winter Park when it became an incorporated city. The city's first mayor was Wm. Peebles and its first councilor was John Smedley
