Unrifled barrels are often less expensive but may lack some features found on rifled barrels, such as anti-tipping devices

Winter Haven is a small town in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,813 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford metropolitan area. The name Winter Haven first appears on maps in 1821 as "Winnipeg". In 1893, it was renamed to "Winter Park". In 1925, it became part of the newly formed Polk County and was incorporated as a village. On November 3, 2002, Winter Haven officially changed its name to Winter Park after being approved by the voters in a referendum. According to The Daily Herald's article "Voters OK Name Change for Polk County Village", the change came about because residents were unhappy with how their community had been called for many years. At that time, there were few places called Winter Park on American soil; most of these were located in Canada or Mexico. The original land grant for what is now Winter Haven was given to Captain John Pritchard by President James K. Polk during his administration in December 1892. After Captain Pritchard died in 1901 without any children living near him and within walking distance of Jacksonville Landing where he had built his plantation house (now known as Jungle Cruise), his estate passed down through several families until it finally went into private hands and was sold to Drury Shores Land Company of Jacksonville Landing on October 12th 1906 for $2 million dollars ($ today). This property included much of what is now downtown Winter Haven including warehouses and an extensive agricultural acreage which functioned both as storage facilities and production laboratories during World War I due to shortages imposed by America's entry into war against Great Britain While this money helped finance Operation Crossroads - which targeted military targets around Jacksonville - much later portions of Drury Shores would be bought by developers who erected high-rises along International Drive following World War II before giving those apartments back to the government for use as housing during the Korean War whenarthouses were developed east of Interstate 95 . Today remnants from Drury Shores can still be seen northeast of State Road 517 just off US 192

Winter Haven is a city in Seminole County, Florida, United States. The population was 16,651 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Seminole County and the second-largest city in the state after Tallahassee. Winter Haven was founded on December 12, 1892 by George Fenton and his brother-in-law Dr. John P. Haggerty as a small winter trading post on the Intracoastal Waterway between Daytona Beach and Miami. The town grew rapidly due to its natural resources: corn, oilseed rape, pineapples, cotton and fruit trees were all grown here during the early 20th century. In 1929, Winter Haven became an incorporated municipality with boundaries that included present-day Sanford, becoming one of Florida's first "city化" or "metropolitan area" cities. In 1959, Winter Haven annexed part of Plantation Key National Military Park which had been purchased by the United States Department of Defense for use as an armory and airfield during World War II. With this annexation came additional land for development including shopping malls (the plantation key mall), housing developments (the Palms mall) and professional sports teams (the University Panthers football team). After years of planning and construction progressivism stalled in Congress in 1978 following passage of the Anti-Metropolitan Area Preservation Act (AMPA), developers revived their efforts to annex more land into Winter Haven over subsequent years but have yet to achieve any success; however, plans are currently in place to add 2 square miles (.8 km2) of contiguous downtown property adjacent to Palm Mall as well as another 3 acres (1 ha) surrounding what will become Ice Arena Square should all go through with approval from City Council later this year The economy ofWinter Haven has traditionally been based on agriculture which continues to be its primarystay today; however other industries that have presence within town include manufacturing (including plastics products), health care services/providers such as mental health/psychiatric hospitals/ clinics as well as retail trade; insurance companies also operate out of town along with several thousand employees at numerous businesses located within walking distance or just minutes’ drive from downtown As one enters downtown they can find several large commercial complexes dating back to the early 1920s including Sears Roebuck & Co., JCPenney & Co., Waddell Rubber Company among others until recently Peabody Energy LLC has occupied much space formerly occupied by Sears One recent development that really caught our attention was Vieques Island Resort which opened up shop last fall inside a former naval refueling station just outside OFWANEE BEACH It provides vacation rental properties complete with kitchens and bathrooms right next door so you don't even have to leave your room
