Additionally, the Observatory offers guided tours of its glass houses which include a six-meter telescope and three 30-inch telescopes.

Wildwood, Florida is a small town located in Pinellas County, Florida. The population was 713 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tampa–St Petersburg–Clearwater metropolitan area. Wildwood is known for its rich history and culture dating back to the 1800s. Today, Wildwood retains many of its historic buildings and attractions, as well as its typical small-town feel. The town began to form around 1814 when a group of Dutch farmers settled in what is now Wildwood. At that time, wild strawberries were not yet cultivated and there was no local water source available for irrigation. The farmers used hand plows to cultivate the land and began to trade with other parts of Florida and beyond for goods they needed (e.g., cotton). This period marks the beginning of Wildwood's growth as a community and commercial center on Floridas east coast region; today it still remains one of the most economically active communities in Pinellas County. By 1821, wild strawberry production had become an important part of the local economy; by 1831,Wildwoods population had reached 400 people! In 1836, Andrew Jackson became president of the United States; during his tenure he designated Wildwood as a place where citizens could gather to hear news from Washington D.C.. This event helped spur development in Wildwood – early businesses included grocery stores, dry goods stores, hotels/motels and general Merchandise store which remain open today.; In 1840 Jacksonville built their first railroad line through Pinellas County - this made transportation much easier for settlers living nearby; this also contributed greatly to growth in Wildwood over time In 1846 Governor James Kenedy established county government within Pinellas Countys boundaries which led to increased development opportunities all around town including new cemeteries (Langston Cemetery & Olivet Cemetery) while other businesses such as bakery started up such as H&B Bakery which continues operation today . In 1865 another railroad line was constructed connecting Tampa with St Petersburg making life much easier for residents who continued growing along that route ; post office opened in 1865 followed by telephone exchange just six years later In 1870 tornado destroyed house on Main Street killing 5 people plus 3 children who were inside when it swept through town . That same year fire destroyed Elks Lodge on FM 1592 destroying over 125 acres including 3 churches also damaging more than 100 homes ; both occurred duringtornado season When rebuilt following fire Elks Lodge reopened but did not have any members remaining so it closed again about 1925

Wildwood is located in Seminole County, Florida and was founded on November 3, 1837. The town was named for the wildwood near where it was founded. Wildwood became a county seat in 1907 and remained so until 1959.
