Tavares is a small town in the middle of nowhere on the east coast of Florida. It has a population of just over 2,000 people, and it is home to a few stores and restaurants. But what makes Tavares special is its history. The town was founded by settlers from Portugal in the mid-18th century, and it has been inhabited by Portuguese people for over two hundred years. In 1949, Tavares became part of the United States, and since then, its economy has been based largely on tourism. This means that there are very few businesses that have roots back more than a few decades. However, one business that has been here for many years is knife company PCR Knives. PCR Knives was founded in 1951 by brothers José Francisco (JP) and Armando Pires de Lima. At first, they made knives only for themselves – they didn’t sell them to other customers until they moved to Tavares from Beja in 1954. They started out making pocketknives, but soon realized that they were doing something really well with their knives that nobody else was doing. They continued making quality knives even as their customer base grew larger: starting up a production line in 1957 which allowed them to produce large numbers of high-quality blades at low cost – not only for themselves but also for sale to other companies who wanted to make better products without going too far downmarket. Despite all this success – including several world championships between 1960 and 1966– José Francisco Pires died suddenly aged just 48 in 1986; his brother Armando took over as CEO until his death in 2003. After JP’s death, Armando concentrated on continuing development work while his sons Jorge (JF), Antonio (AO) and Paulo (PV) took control of day-to-day operations; each holding an equal share with their father’s legacy alive throughContinuous Improvement Work Programmes (CIP). Antonio Pires eventually died in 2006 after long illness; JF succeeded him as CEO upon his death three years later on 10th July 2009[1]. On 15th October 2011,[2] PV succeeded him as CEO[3]. The first known store in Tavares, Florida was opened in 1892 by Willard B. Kline and his brother Harry. This store was the first brick building in town and it functioned as a grocery until the early 1920s when it became a post office. In 1928, John A. Sutter arrived in Tavares and started trading goods from his farm on Bay Street. He soon opened a general store that would become one of the most successful businesses in town. In 1953, Jens Rasmussen started operating his own restaurant called Copenhagen House which would become one of the most well-known restaurants in Tavares. In 1990, Ray Foley opened his own convenience store called Foley's Newsstand which is still open today. Tavares, Florida is a small town in Pasco County, Florida, United States. The population was 5,627 at the 2010 census. Tavares is part of the Sarasota-Bradenton Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community was founded by Greek settlers in 1907 and named after the captain of a ship that landed there on February 14th, 1907. It began as a small rural farming community but quickly became an agricultural center with large citrus plantations and cattle ranches. The area now known as Tavares was first developed as part of what is now Sarasota-Bradenton when the land was bought by J.C. Heckscher from Major General Edwin Moseley in 1915 for $5,000 cash and 10 acres (4 ha). In 1923, Heckscher sold additional land to E l John Pritchard for $10,000 more and renamed Tavares after him – one of Pritchard’s main goals being to anglicize all namesakes within his shipments throughout Florida so they would not remain Spanish-only businesses. In 1957, Swensen Brothers Incorporated merged with two other companies to form Dixie Highway Corporation which later became Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company Limited Partnership (GOTP) Trust Company Limited Partnership (GOTPCLP). In 1966 GOTP Trust Company Limited Partnership changed its name back to Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company Limited Partnership again when it merged into American Sphere plc., which then changed its name back to Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company Ltd., which eventually became TAVARES INCorporation on January 1st 1984 having acquired all assets of American Sphere plc. On October 15th 1992 TAVARES INCORPORATED reached incorporation status under the laws of FLA under Chapter 792B Laws Of Florida Under The Business Corporations Law Section 823 et seq.. On November 2nd 1992 TAVARS INDUSTRIAL PARKS LTD., a wholly owned subsidiary of TAVARS INCORPORATED filed an application with the state government for a special use permit allowing development of industrial parks located within limits set forth in this document entitled "Application For A Special Use Permit" . On November 3rd 1992 receipt # 362-930027 was received from State Comptroller office verifying that special Use Permit has been granted subject to certain conditions including payment of required fees and amendments to zoning regulations governing park development On January 1st 1994 Tavares Industrial Parks Ltd.'s application for a special use permit expired without being approved due to nonpayment of required fees On May 25th 1995 Tavares Industrial Park's Ltd.'s application for renewal thereof was denied because it did not meet specific requirements set forth in Amendment No 9 To Zoning Regulation No 6097 . As per Amendment No 9 To Zoning Regulation No 6097 otherwise any new or amended buildings not erected prior thereto are prohibited within said boundaries . This amendment also banned any alterations or additions whatsoever be made either inside or outside said boundaries . In accordance with said amendment building permits have since been issued only for structures erected subsequent thereto Tavaris currently contains over 30 businesses employing over 350 people manufacturing various products such as tires/wheel bearings/vehicles/etc...

Tavares, Florida is a small town in Polk County, Florida. The population was 2,868 at the 2010 census. Tavares is located on the Gulf of Mexico near St. Petersburg and Clearwater. The first European to visit Tavares was Captain John Smith in 1513 when he explored the area for trade with Native Americans. In 1727, Spanish settlers founded a mission here. The mission was abandoned in 1792 and then burned down in 1805 by Seminole Indians who claimed the area as their personal hunting ground. In 1819, Tavares became part of United States territory under the terms of the Treaty of Paris following the American War of Independence. In 1821, it passed from U.S. control to Spain as part of Cuba’s return to independence after its independence from America. Spanish colonists began arriving here beginning in 1825 and soon established a town here namedafter José de la Vega y Mercedes y Bautista de Valdés Governor of Cuba during that time period- TAVARES (later shortened to Tavares). Spanish rule ended with American occupation in 1898 following Spain’s defeat at World War I; this led to an influx of American troops into Cuba which caused many people and businesses to leave for Tampa Bay Area especially because there were no wartime restrictions on Cuban investment within Americaimposed during wartime by President Woodrow Wilson primarily out of concern about potential Bolshevik infiltration into America via Cuba As a result many people living along Tampa's Sarasota waterfront left for Havana or Santiago de Cuba during those years leading up through World War II until finally all but one family moved back home after Castro took power in 1959 . The last person born in Tavares Township was Vera Pekermann who died on November 4th 1970 Although now only an unincorporated community within Polk County limits (the same boundaries as St Petersburg), Tavarese history stretches back more than two centuriesago dating back even beyond what is currently recorded or documented about this community throughout much local fabricating taking place both orally and written documentation including handwritten notes kept by early residents which have been lost forever due thereto including original plans and sketches/images thereof still extant today not available anywhere else electronic or digital copies are freely available online http://www2a0ce5f4eacd9b2c1f3ddfd7cdcdf6aca/. It should also be noted that this documentation generally coincides with what oral tradition has otherwise already been reported herein which would tend against any assertions made herein regarding purported “ghost towns” lackin physical evidence whatsoever notwithstanding repetitive efforts over time specifically targeting individual landowners/ Developers seeking title thereto thus violating fundamental rights guaranteed citizens by constitutional provisions duly secured thru ballot box process)
