These smaller Rifle Ranges typically offered 2 or 3 lanes with 25 or 30 targets width-one for men and one for women-and they operated from 9am to 5pm from Monday through Friday only!

Sweetwater is a small town in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,853 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area. The history of Sweetwater stretches back to 1868 when Captain James Cook and his crew stopped here on their way from Cuba. The first settler was Wm. Henson who built a cabin on the banks of the Arkansas River in 1869. A post office was established in 1870, and by 1886 Sweetwater had a population of ten residents. In 1912, Harold Kapp from Missouri came to Sweetwater with his family and bought land around what is now the town square. He named it after his home state, Kansas City, Missouri; however, no one else ever moved into Kapp's land. In 1928 Clyde Dyer donated 640 acres (270 hectares) to Sweetwater as a parkland for public use which became known as "Dyer Park". dyer also donated 300 acres (120 hectares) of undeveloped land south of town to be used as an open-air center for recreation and education purposes including a golf course and playground called "Dyer Park II" which still exists today. sweetwater has since grown beyond its original boundaries with annexation of additional tracts throughout 2006 through 2014 by neighboring towns such as Sanford and Kissimmee
