Today’s Main Street resumes just northwesterly around SSE edge where it curves westerly towards downtown after crossing into Lauderdale County . In later years portions extending northeasterly from Narrows Drive were extended back into Polk County resulting in two major streets serving two different municipalities becomingSweetWater Blvd/Narrows Drk/Downtown Loop & Sunrise Drk/EAST Loop . Finally courtrooms were located westerly across First National Bank Building property lines prior to demolition beginning October 2006 following several firesthat destroyed much or all interior building structure over many years including January 1984 trunk fire that destroyed entire bank building portion now occupied by Palmwalk restaurant whose contiguous wall frontsaudevillecountyfire Dept arson investigation continues presently

Sweetwater is a small town located in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. Its name comes from the Sweetwater River which joins the Gulf of Mexico just east of town. The first settler in what is now Sweetwater was George Washington Harris on November 16, 1836. He and his family built a cabin on the banks of the river. The first store opened in 1886 and it was run by Johnnie Morrison. In 1907, J C Henschel started importing ice cream from Illinois to sell in Sweetwater. In 1916, Frank Fenton bought the store and continued running it until his death in 1984. From 1926 to 1942, Sweetwater served as headquarters for Second Lieutenant Harry Tilton's 5th Squadron (Airmobile) of the Air Corps during World War II. After World War II ended, most of what is now Sweetwater were annexed by neighboring Clear Water Beach which had more people and more businesses than did Sweetwater so the original downtown business district slowly disappeared over time- until it was mostly replaced by new development in recent years that has shrunk or destroyed much of its prewar architecture. In 1951 Edwin A Morse moved from Jacksonville to start an air conditioning company here which grew into one of America’s largest companies with plants all over the world before merging with Carrier Corporation in 1997 to form American Airlines Group Incorporated (AAL). With AAL came many changes includingMAGNA Carta Airways—the oldest airline still operating wholly within America—and two rounds of layoffs for about 2% of its workforce after deregulation caused lower fares and less competition among airlines across both land borders; these reductions led some locals to call MAGNA “The evil empire” because they saw how profitable AAL had become while others saw opportunities for growth if properly managed like creating quality jobs rather than low-paid assembly line work…. [Morse's] granddaughter Betsy became CEO succeeding her grandfather when he died suddenly aged 86 years old just ten months shy of his ninetieth birthday commemorating another great leader who helped shape our community into what it is today—a place where families can enjoy life experiences together without fear that their taxes will support an empire that doesn't serve them well anymore

However, since 2000s there has been significant gentrification happening in Sweetwater with new development taking place on both sides of US-441 (the main arterial road).
