When the St. Cloud Gun Club was founded in 1892, it was one of the first gun clubs in Florida. The club met at a house on Rugby Road and fired pistols until dark. It was soon realized that handguns couldn't be used to hunt game because they were too inaccurate. So, the club turned to rifles and shotguns for hunting purposes. In 1912, the club changed its name to the St Cloud Rifle and Pistol Club and began using rifles only for sporting purposes. The following year, it became a member society of the NRA (National Rifle Association). That same year, the St Cloud Gun Club established an armory on Second Street which still stands today. The armory served as a meeting place for all of the clubs in town as well as storage space for guns and ammo. In 1951, NRA membership increased to 1 million individuals worldwide so the club decided to move its headquarters from St Cloud to Fairfax County, Virginia. However, due to flooding in 1953 caused by Hurricane Hazel, NRA Headquarters had to be moved again – this time back to St Cloud! In 1978-1979, when property values throughoutStCloud began rising rapidly due to tourism developments adjacent to downtown stclouds boundaries (the city limits then consisted of just Thirteenth Street eastward), Calguns donated land north of First Street between Second Avenue and Third Avenue (now part of Midtown) that is now known as Gun Gallery Rowland Park has been developed with many shops/shopsites situated around the perimeter including several places where you can buy firearms directly from vendors without going through a third party such as retailer's carries etc...

St. Cloud, Florida is a small town located in the Pensacola-Ft. Myers area of Florida. The population was 5,611 at the 2010 census. The name is derived from the Finnish word "Suomi" meaning "home." The first settler in what would become St. Cloud was John Hickey who arrived in 1821. In 1827, James Aiken settled in what became known as "Hickey's Landing." By 1830, there were over twenty families living in St. Cloud and it had a post office and two stores. In 1834, Captain Abel Willard came to St. Cloud with his family and began to build a sawmill on the banks of the bayou La Porte which he named after himself and his mother (La Porte). By 1840, there were over fifty families living in St. Cloud and it had a schoolhouse and four stores. During the Civil War, many people from Stcloud fought for either side including Private First Class George Washington Grayson who served under General Ulysses S Grant during the battle of Pea Ridge on April 14th 1865 near present day Macon County Courthouse which ended with General Grant's death that day at age 54 years old
In 1855, St. Cloud was the site of a slave market and auction house. The town was destroyed in a fire in 1861, but was rebuilt. The first post office opened in 1870. In 1884, the town had a population of 2,500 and became an agricultural center with growing crops and livestock production. The town experienced economic growth during World War II as military personnel moved to the area for work in the munitions industry. In 1948, St. Cloud became an independent city and retains its current name today.
