The Municipal Air Service Corporation continued operation until 1935 when it was replaced by the present-day Jacksonville Aviation Authority which is still providing airport services today! The earliest examples of gas pistols were designed for target shooting and were powered by charcoal or coal-fired stoves or riflescreens placed over an open flame that would heat up liquid hydrogen gas solution which was then fired through a small hole at the back of the pistol grip into a metal tube carrying oxygen gas that entered from an opening near the muzzle
