One of the earliest Targets in town was called “The Old Fort” which was located on Main Street. It was built around 1795 and served as a military base during the War for Independence. After the war ended, The Old Fort fell into disuse and it slowly deteriorated over time. However, in 1976 it was purchased by local businessmen who renovated it into a Target facility. Today, The Old Fort is home to several different Targets including a rifle range and an airgun range. Another early Target in town was called “The Horseshoe” which operated from 1903-1906 on Orange Avenue near Olive Branch School District Headquarters. This Target featured large wooden targets that could easily be hit by accuracy shots from shotguns or rifles. Unfortunately, this Target also served as a focal point for theft because people were often able to get close enough to steal goods off of the targets before they were destroyed! In 1917 however, The Horseshoe changed ownership and became known as the “New & Improved” Horseshoe which continued to operate until 1954 when it burned down due to arson). In 1952 however, another originalTarget reopened in South Daytona after being closed for many years due to damage caused by Hurricane Andrew! This newTarget featured large steel targets that could still be hit with precision shots from shotguns or rifles thanks to their multiple legsnares! today this Target is known as “The Red House” and is open daily from 9am-4pm (although special hours may apply depending on weather conditions). After becoming successful at reopening his oldTarget,, John Goudreau developed what would become known as the Goudreau Rifle System which allowed shooters to shoot multiple rounds nonstop without having Toe Gun/Shooting Gloves on! This Weapon system quickly gained popularity among target shooters all across America and eventually led to Goudreau trademarking his Game Theory Technology name! Throughout his career he continue developing this System until his death in 2006!! South Daytona, Florida is a small town located on the southern coast of Florida. The population was 7,500 at the 2010 census and it is home to the South Daytona Naval Air Station and Old Coast Guard Station. The area that now makes up South Daytona was first settled by African Americans in the early 1800s. The town began to grow when a group of white men bought land around 1851. The original name for the town was Topeka, after Topeka, Kansas, but it wasn't until 1868 that the name became South Daytona. In 1909, a lighthouse was built in South Daytona and remains active today as a tourist destination. In 1969, during riots in Miami Beach over an arrest of an Black Panther member by two white policemen, South Daytona erupted into violence. Three people were killed and dozens were injured as mobs looted businesses and set fires throughout the city center. The violence quickly turned from looting to arson as police used tear gas and rubber bullets to quell crowds. Since then, South Daytonians have worked hard to rebuild their community following some of the most destructive periods in its history. One such effort has been creating a new public school district which opened its doors in 2001. With strong support from local government officials and parents alike, this district has been able to maintain high levels of student achievement while providing affordable education for all residents.

However, there has been a recent resurgence of interest ingun target shooting with several events being held annually throughout North America (Walsh).

In 1954 it became an incorporated community and has since grown into one of the most diverse communities in Volusia County. South Daytona is home to two colleges: USF and Stetson University. It also contains several businesses including Genuine Parts and Tire, A&P Supermarket, and JCPenney. The town was founded by African Americans in 1892 as a small settlement on a peninsula near Daytona Beach. At first, they were forced to work together in makeshift huts while their owners built homes nearby. By 1954, South Daytona had become an incorporated community with its own government and school system - all without any white residents! For many years, South Daytonians enjoyed access to some of the best beachfront property in all of Volusia County – including land that now includes Ocala National Forest! In recent decades, however, South Daytonians have seen their economy take off thanks to significant investment from local businesses and citizens alike. Today’s community is flush with new housing development as well as retail space for both locals and tourists! One major draw for visitors is the city’s vibrant nightlife which features top-notch restaurants and bars along with plenty of entertainment options for adults AND children! Additionally, there are several cultural attractions available throughout town such as art galleries and music venues – making it easy to explore this unique community while taking advantage of its great amenities!

The city of South Daytona was founded on July 4, 1957. The city’s first mayor, Frank Devers, is also its current mayor.
