A streetcar line ran through Parkland from 1909 until 1978 when it was replaced by a road; now there are no tracks left anywhere near Parkland. Some believe that Seminole may be derived from this early land purchase because the word "Seminole" means 'place where wild fowl roost'. In 1907, The Universalist Church opened its doors in what is now called Seminar Hall which served as their meeting place until 1928 when they moved to their present location on Orange Avenue in downtown Sanford. This building still serves as the church's main sanctuary today. Seminole also has several small businesses including CVS Pharmacy and JCPenney inside of their city limits which makes it easy to get supplies if you're running low on anything specific! On February 16th, 1915, during World War I veteran Alvin Binnie’s funeral service Reverend Worthy preached his last sermon before he passed away leaving behind instructions for his Sunday School students who would lead Palm Sunday services throughout Polk County including locations at both Lake Worth and Sanford! After Rev Worthy’s death on October 14th 1920 many members of his congregation decided to form what became known as “The First Baptist Church Of Seminole” with Pastor Johnnie Wright being elected first pastor effective November 1st1920-January 3rd 1923 under Title 2 Ordinance No 6784 approved by City Council dated December 21st 1922 & registered with First Baptist Churches Committee On August 12th 1930

In 1898, following the Spanish-American War, Cuba sold its share in Florida to United States for $10 million dollars which raised international attention to the peninsula; however no action was taken by Congress to sell Cuba's interest back to Spain until 1902 when it became clear that American interests would not waiver under such pressure from Cubans
