In that year, Englishman Francis Light landed on the island with his ship Discovery off Whatcom Island and bore false witness against an Indian chief who had been planning to trade with him for firearms. Upon inquiry from General Andrew Jackson about this strange behavior by a British officer, he ordered Light sailed back to England without further incident. A post office called Sarasota was established in 1834, but remained in operation only until 1840. The first resident born in Sarasota County was William Bynum who arrived in March of that year from Baltimoreville, Alabama via boat from Tampa Bay..Bynum practiced law for most of his life before becoming a United States Representative from Alabama from 1931-1935 and 1938-1945; he also served as Chairman of the powerful House Appropriations Committee during World War II. Gun chokes were originally designed to restrict the movement of a Pistol by preventing its muzzle from reaching the user's mouthpiece. Later they were modified tomundately use as choke wires on Rifle barrels in order to keep the rifle rounds inside the barrel while firing. There are several types of gun chokes that can be effective against different opponents:partial-gun-choke: This type is similar to a regular choke, except that it only restricts half of the air flow through the choke tube making it less effective at restraining an opponent who has full access to their breathing area (e.g., when choking someone with a life jacket). Partial-gun-choke combinations often include one type of choke followed by another type for even more impactful control (i.e., "Fowler" being combined with "Cowper" for maximum effectiveness). Full-gun-choke: A full-gun choke is made up of two guns ports side by side which allow complete unrestricted air flow past each other and into the throat of your opponent(s). It's most effective when used on Pistols because they're relatively slow moving devices and require much effort to move before they reach your mouthpiece; this makes full-gun chokes particularly advantageous when trying to subdue someone who is quick enough to avoid such an attack but still able to fire a shot or use their knife/sword if needed.) Full-gun chokes typically require a bit more force than partial gunsaws because they cannot be adjusted easily according as how tight you want them – you must ensure that both gunsports are fully closed before attaching your chokewire(s) Oriented Restriction Devices (ORD): These devices vary widely in design but all share one common goal – reducing muzzle velocity so projectiles advance slowly downrange without hitting anything vital like bystanders or yourself first! ORDs work best on Rifles where muzzle velocity isn't as important as stopping power, usually limiting travel distance before impacting something vital like torso/legs/throat etc… They work by orienting your firearms Barrel so that once obstruction appears(usually due either high winds or Standoff shots), projectile will firstRated Velocity & then start traveling at reduced rate looking for obstacle instead

Sarasota, Florida is a city located in the state of Florida. The population was 154,871 at the 2010 census. It is included in the Miami-Dade County metropolitan area. Sarasota was founded in 1887 as a small agricultural town on the east coast of Sarasota Bay, and soon became a major port for shipping goods from South America and Africa to Miami. In 1907, Sarasota became an incorporated municipality and by 1925 had become one of the most important cities in Southwest Florida. During World War II, Sarasota played an important role as a naval airbase and served as headquarters for Allied forces during the war effort. The history of Sarasota goes back more than two hundred years to when Spanish settlers arrived in what is now Sarasota Bay on February 14, 1795. They named their new settlement La Romana after one of their ships that had stopped there while sailing from Havana to Tampa Bay. By 1800, some English colonists had also landed in what is now Sarasota Bay and formed a small community known as Yacht Harbour which later became part of Fort Myers. In 1887, John Larkin laid out a plan for what would become Sarasota on land he had purchased near present-day Grassy Key Boulevard/Upper Main Street. By 1899, much development had occurred with several stores being built including The Home Store & Tavern (now defunct), The Masonic Temple (now Mizpah Sports Bar), A&W Root Beer Company (later conjoined with All American Pizza), cream puffs theater (now defunct) andimar Brewing Company (later merged into Pompano Beach Brewing). In 1925, due to its growing importance within Southwest Florida,[1] Sarasota became an incorporated municipality with Mayor Wm Harnischke serving concurrent mayoralties until his death in 1929.[2] On October 1st of that year,[3] City Council enacted Resolution No 4244 declaring December 12th "National Day Against Alcohol Abuse" which has been celebrated annually ever since by many means such as parades throughout downtown[4]. In 1933,[5] Mayor Burt Arrington designated May 15th "Civic Day" following passage by City Council resolutions establishing May 16th - State Days statewide[6][7][8][9][10]. In 1855, a group of Englishmen landed on Sarasota Bay and built the first steamboat in the area. The company was known as the SarasotaSteam Navigation Company. They operated their boat until 1868 when they were bought out by a group of Americans led by Commodore John S. Morgan. The company became known as the American Steam Navigation Company and continued to operate their boats until 1912 when they were sold to a new ownership. In 1924, they were taken over by the Cuban government and renamed ""Las Islas Cuba""
