The Sanford rifle stock history begins in the early 1800s when a man named Jesse Sanford set up shop in a small town in central Florida. Jesse started manufacturing rifles, shotguns, and pistols from local materials and ingenuity. His products were well-received by his customers and helped to spark the development of firearms manufacturing in the area. In 1834, Jesse purchased a millinery business located in nearby Winter Haven. The new venture allowed him to continue making firearms and other items from local materials while also providing sales and marketing support for his company. By 1836, Jesse had founded another company - this time producing cannons - which led to increased production at the millinery business. By 1840, he had formed another company that became known as Sanford Manufacturing Company with additional plants located in Gainesville (later Jacksonville), Stonington (later Hartford), Jacksonville Beach (later Clearwater), Key West, Marathon (later Fort Myers), and Pensacola (now Sarasota). By 1849, Jesse had established five separate companies that produced rifles, shotguns, handguns, cannons, tools, saddles, harnesses; all of which were distributed throughout Florida. This intense production schedule enabled him to keep pace with technological advancements and remain one of the leading manufacturers of firearms in America during the late 19th century.

In 1905, Henry Karr founded Jacksonville Juice Company which became one of the largest juice companies in America by 1921 when it incorporated as Jockeys Juice Corporation Ltd.. It merged with Gurney's Fruit & Vegetables Incorporated in 1961 to form Gurney's Citrus fruits Incorporation - still today one of America's leading citrus fruit processors! In 1984 Gurney's parent company A&W Brewing Co., LLC merged into Sam Adams Brewery plc., making Sanford one of the few cities within Sam Adams Brewery' global footprint! In 2013 both Sam Adams Brewery and Gurney's Citrus fruits Incorporation were acquired by Anheuser-Busch InBev NV for an undisclosed amount!. The use of stock-mounted rifles spread quickly because it allowed for easier aiming and made shooting from a seated position much more efficient. By the early 19th century, rifle stocks had become standard on most military and law enforcement firearms, allowing shooters to better control their weapons while sitting or standing. The development of breech loading artillery systems in the 19th century changed the landscape of firearm ownership forever. Suddenly, anyone could own a gun that could fire projectiles through a breechloader! This posed a challenge for riflestock manufacturers: How would they create an effective means for shooters to hold and aim their rifles? Riflestocks responded by developing innovative methods for holding and Aiming Firearms using either traditional techniques or new design concepts such as cantilevered arms and bipod platforms (see Figure 1). Many years later, advancements in technology continue to help improve accuracy when firing arrows or other projectiles through barrels equipped with rifled Twist Technology tubes (see Figure 2).

Sanford by Seminole Chief Osceola on August 17th, 1839 This land grant included eastern half of what is now Volusia County as well as parts of Marionette, Sumter, Flagler counties In 1881, Jens Cramer bought out all remaining owners of Indian Mather Land Grant #5 and organized a new government under the name "Moultrie Township" which included much of what is now Volusia County On January 1st 1892 after years of negotiations between various parties including General George Washington Carver himself, Jens Cramer finalized an agreement with Captain Edwin Purdy (who also owned part of Indian Mather) that would make downtown Sanford the chosen location for their new town site They gave this choice to captain Purdy because he knew that there were no other options due to a lack of development at that time within Volusia County aside from Daytona Beach where most people lived It wasn't until after Captain Purdy's death in 1903 that another developer decided to move into town but they called it "Orville Fenton" because they thought it sounded more like Orville Clemens than anything else After Orville Fenton moved into town however things didn't go too well because they couldn't find anyone with similar interests or qualifications to join them so eventually they disbanded their business operation which led to their eventual bankruptcy in 1925 In 1926 Mayor Henson formed a school board with three members each consisting mostly ex-officio citizens such as Mrs Henson herself who also happened to be pregnant at the time while she presided over meetings ; this system lasted until 1953 when Mayor Henson created elected school board members instead due to increasing public pressure That same year Dr James Lovell took over running City Hall which led directly into World War II when Orlando became an important air base due largely to its location close by After World War II ended however City Hall reverted back back into mayoral hands once again under Dr Lovell's leadership before finally becoming propertyowned byVolusiaCounty through successive mayors beginning with Bob Levy in 1984 until current day
