In Safety Harbor, Florida, there have been a number of expansions to the scope mounts range. The first expansion was in 1978 when the company opened their new location at 3204 NW Second Street. This location would later be renamed to the American Outdoor Brands Headquarters Campus in 2002. In 1984, another expansion took place when Cabela's bought out US Outdoors and moved their entire scope mount line from Deerfield Beach, Florida to Springfield, Missouri. It wasn't until 1994 when US Outdoors expanded their product line again when they purchased North American Mounts from BushnellUSA. Safety Harbor, Florida is a small town located in Lee County, Florida. The population was 1,865 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jacksonville metropolitan area and is bordered by St. Johns River to the north and east, Fort Myers to the south and west, and Indian River Lagoon to the northwest. The town was founded in 1878 by John Gorman as a speculation on land that had been surveyed by Captain John Smith during his expedition through South Florida in 1795. Gorman named it after himself because he felt confident that no one else would name their community after him since he had done so much for its development. By 1902, Safety Harbor had sprung up around what is now its harborfront square with a few stores and two churches. In 1926, Safety Harbor annexed nearby unincorporated territory which included present-day Marathon Beach and Cutler Bayou. In 1940Safety Harbor became an official city when it added Daytona Beach as an annexe from Volusia County along with neighbouring Titusville and Port Charlotte. Daytona Beach annexation was due to concerns about possible military infrastructure investments being made adjacent to its airport (then called Daytona Beach Municipal Airport). In 1952,Safety Harbor established itself as an independent city with its own police department under mayor Clyde Pittman Sr.. In 1976 Safety Harbor established itself as a growth center for western Lee County due to increased industrial development near its harborfront square which led to more businesses opening up around it including restaurants, clubs/bars, health care facilities and even apartment complexes. The Naval Weapons StationPort Everglades opened in 1980 next door to the port authority terminal helping increase commercial activity surrounding safety harbor while also providing jobs for local residents during peacetime naval activities such as missile tests or visitors wishing to see US Navy ships moored at anchor outside of town during wartime events or deployments (such as Operation Desert Storm). As recently as 1995 there were still few permanent businesses dotting the harborfront square aside from some apartments used mostly by transient workers who often took advantage of high fuel prices resulting from tight gasoline rationing following 9/11/. With State Road 4 leading northeasterly out of town past Signal Hill into open marshland known locally as "the gator country", many business owners closed their doors permanently after Gulf War I when large numbers of troops moved into Jacksonville for deployment; other closures followed throughout wars in Iraq/Syria/Afghanistan until all but two businesses reopened post-9/11/. This has resulted in many vacant storefronts along downtown's main drag becoming one long row of abandoned buildings known locally simply as "the old danger zone". Many property owners have decided notto sell their properties fearing they will become yet another example of Jacksonville's failed redevelopment policies following terrorist attacks such as those carried out within our city limits on 9/11/. This has resulted in several derelict warehouses becoming popular tourist destinations among locals looking for picturesque locations without any real economic value beyond nostalgia value alone These warehouses are generally considered unsafe due both to poor condition inside (highest levels of graffiti & mold)& dangerous exterior conditions which include lack of security fencing & deteriorating roofing); however some have started restoration projects inside over recent years hoping that new owner(s) may finally take action against developers who refuse / cannot be bothered investing in basic safekeepingmeasures like fence installation etc.; these endeavors are slowly starting to gain traction among local preservationists who hope this kind Of effort may eventually leadto renewed attention paidsafetyharbor & ultimately help preserve these much needed resources
