Safety Harbor is a town in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. The population was 5,517 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tampa-St Petersburg-Clearwater Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first European settlers arrived in Safety Harbor in 1835. In 1881, Safety Harbor became an incorporated municipality and it continued to be so until 1907 when it merged with neighboring Clearwater to form the current municipality of Hillsborough. The original name for the town was "Sandy Key". The town's present name came about because of a shipwreck that took place near there on October 9, 1892. A safety harbor was built to accommodate the influx of maritime traffic and residents began using the new name as early as 1893. A post office called Safety Harbor was established in 1903 and remained open until 1959. There are several reasons why Safety Harbor has been such a popular tourist destination for many years now: its natural environment including mangroves and barrier islands; its history as a stop on stagecoaches which transported soldiers and tourists back during World War II; its beautiful architecture which includes many historic homes dating back to before 1900; as well as its wide variety of cultural attractions which include both historical museums and festivals that attract tens of thousands of visitors each year. There are also several businesses located in or around Safety Harbour that contribute significantly to its economy: Adventure Outfitters (manufacturing outdoor gear), Gatorade (a sports drink company), Camping World (which provides camping services), Chesapeake Energy Corporation (the largest natural gas producer in Florida) and Parkway Trucking Company (which provides truck transportation). Some other major employers within the local area include US Marshals Service, Hillsborough County Corrections Department, Tampa International Airport Authority, Stonington High School District No 1 and Pinellas County Schools District No 3. As Safety Harbor continues to grow more diverse culturally due to various museum exhibitions being held there every year along with numerous music festivals taking place throughout the summertime attracting hundreds of people from all over Southeast Florida - including some who come specifically for tourism - it seems likely that this unique community will continue growing into another decade or so!

In 1976, Soviet scientists developed their own version of a short-wavelength laser cannon called a Luch engine (named after Russian physicist Igor Luch), which helped improve upon American LaserGun technology. As advances were made in both weapon design and technological innovation, so too did the uses for lasers within military doctrine. For example, during Operation Neptune's Spear – an abortive attempt by forces loyal to North Korea against South Korean forces – it was discovered that large numbers of missiles had been secretly placed on two island groups off South Korea's coast – each carrying dozens or even hundreds of nuclear warheads – if they had been destroyed by fire from ships anchored closeby would have caused widespread destruction across much of South Korea including Seoul! Safety Harbor is a town in Monroe County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,811 at the 2010 census. The town was founded on November 15, 1895 by Danish immigrants Ole Christensen and his wife Maren Rasmussen. The first post office in Safety Harbor was established on December 1, 1895. It was renamed to Safety Harbor on February 10, 1896. On October 12, 1897 the first fire destroyed the existing school buildings in Safety Harbor. A new school was built and named after Maren Rasmussen with assistance from $2,000 from Ole Christensen's parents. The first post office closed on January 3rd of 1898 due to lack of mail delivery to the community and it reopened on March 6th as Safety Harbour Post Office #1 with Maren Rasmussen as its namesake. On July 25th of 1905 a group of men organized by Captain Hjalmar Wahlgren purchased 640 acres (248 ha) of land south of present day Safety Harbortown limits for development into what would become Jacksonville Landing Naval Shipyard which became one of Jacksonville’s most important businesses and neighborhoods during prohibition years because it couldexport liquor without being taxed by state law In 1907 death came to the community when two brothers drowned while swimming off shore during high water season In 1912 an addition to the originalblock consistedof three houses that had been built for local farmers who were expanding their operations into adjacent territory along US-4 north of town On December 9th 1914 Fire destroyed most or alloftheoriginal Blockexceptforonehouseandthis housewasrebuilt using timbers from an old sawmill . . . In 1916 a store opened up called "Pineapple" which continued operation until AFTER prohibition ended In 1919 another store opened up called "Cook Islands" which also continued operation until AFTER prohibition ended After prohibition owner Jens Nielsen decided not to keep both stores open but sold them both back to Wahlgren in 1923 For many years these stores served as berths for transient fishermen who used them as landing sites Craftsmen started building homes around 1925 based on plans supplied by builder Harry Cramer
In the early 1800s, Safety Harbor was a small settlement on the mouth of the St. Johns River. It was first mentioned in 1698 as "Savage Harbour." In 1787,Safety Harbor became a town after becoming part of Fort Myers. In 1815, it became an incorporated town and in 1834 it became a county seat. The population peaked at 21,500 in 1900 but declined to 10,000 by 1930. The community lost its nickname of "The Happy Place" due to the rapid decline in population during the First World War and thereafter. The last census taken in 1930 reported 9,853 people living in Safety Harbor County.
