Rockledge, Florida is a small town located in Palm Beach County, Florida. The area was originally settled by white settlers in the early 1800s. In 1868, the Rockledge Rifle and Pistol Club was formed in Rockledge. The club developed a strong interest in firearms and held monthly meetings to discuss rifle stocks and ammunition. By 1890, the club had developed a collection of over 100 rifles and shotguns. In 1899, the Rockledge Rifle & Pistol Club merged with two other clubs to form the Palm Beach Rifle & Pistol Association (PBRPA). The new organization focused on promoting firearm safety and training for members. It also offered membership dues and organized field trips to learn about rifles and pistols. In 1912, PBRPA created a private member’s club called “The Range” in order to provide firearms instruction as well as shooting opportunities for local residents. In 1953, the PBRPA changed its name to the Palm Beach Rifle & Pistol Association (PBA). The association continued to promote gun safety until it was disbanded in 1991 due to financial difficulties. Today, there are active members at all levels of participation within the organization who continue their focus on firearm education and enjoyment.

Rockledge also offers education opportunities; there are four high schools in town (Greater Polk Jr./Sr., Miami Beach High School, Springhill Junior/Senior High School and Coral Gables Senior/Junior High School) as well as several smaller schools such as Houghton Mifflin Southwestern Regional Middle School which serves students from eastern Hillsborough County; Clearwater Intermediate School for students attending the local public school system; and Americus Elementary School serving students from Pasco County

Rockledge is a small town in Collier County, Florida, United States. It was founded by George Washington Robinson in 1892 as a result of the construction of the Miami and Erie Railroad. The town has since shrunk due to its proximity to Miami and its many other cities. However, it remains an important community for agriculture and fishing. The first known inhabitants of what is now Rockledge were Native Americans who gathered around Lake Okeechobee in search of food sources during the winter months. In 1795, Spanish settlers arrived in what is now Collier County and named it Santa Rosa de la Vega after their patron saint. The first recorded settler was Pedro Menendez Alonso who built a cabin on a hill overlooking the lake in 1804. In 1892, George Washington Robinson purchased land near present-day Rockledge from Manuel Fernandez de la Luz y Fernández for $2,000USD$. He began to build his home on the site which he named Allegheny Hill after his father-in-law Generalmajor John Covington Allegheny of the British army during the American Revolution (1775-1787). Robinson's home remain one of Collier County's most significant landmarks today. Robinson had great success with his rice farming venture which produced high quality crops that sold well throughout South America. He also constructed a sawmill and gristmill which helped produce needed goods for local markets while also providing jobs for locals during boom times. His son Edward followed in their father's footsteps and became an agricultural pioneer in Rockledge as well, expanding rice production and laying down foundation for future commercial endeavors within the community. With heavy reliance on crop production over traditional livestock husbandry early on, animals were initially not able to sustain long term activity within this isolated community located at elevations above sea level with limited access to water resources; consequently, goats were used extensively throughout early history for both milk production and meat processing purposes until harnessing new technologies such as irrigation systems and automatic milking equipment made goat dairying more sustainable beginning around 1920s onwards allowing Forks Mill & Grain Elevator Company plans commenced by Ira Ewing - founder/owner/operator/manager Howland Rice Growers Cooperative store - erection of electric lights began operations at plant soon afterwards - feeder canal built connecting farmlands east & west of city limits thru Everglades River
