In 1922, a gun range was opened in town by JB Griggs started out with 50 guns only but it grew quickly with other owners starting to offer lessons and ammo sales etcetera until it became one of the largest gun ranges west of Miami Beach! It closed its doors in 1978 due to economic conditions but reopened again in 1984 under new management as “Guns N' Roses Gun Range & Ammunition Store” which continued to operate until 2001 when it closed once again because of financial difficulties! - From 1922 until 1978 Guns N' Roses Gun Range & Ammunition Store operated as one of Punta Gorda's largest businesses.- 1984-2001 Guns N' Roses Gun Range & Ammunition Store closed due to economic difficulties
