On July 4th 1828, they founded Tampa Bay with its port at what would become Clear Water Harbor on what is now Long Island Sound; that same year, they also founded St Petersburg – later Tampa – lying to the south on Hillsborough Bay between Tampa Bay and Lakeland Peninsula; these two towns became separate municipalities when Pinellas County was created in 1907 out of parts of Hillsborough and Pasco Counties respectively). However much controversy surrounded this order given thatRelease Order #1 stated only those found living free & unpossessed within park boundaries could be freed while Release Order #2 Lists many privately owned pet gators residing wholly within park boundaries & thus not subject To Freeing Rules . Although some Alligators eventually did return home (& live today near NW corner old military airfield), most remain still trapped inside GNP&MF enclosures today . Most recently reCaptured Alligators currently reside at Gulfstream Park Zoo located @ WESTchester Drive & Satellite Rd just past Turnpike exit 9A
