By 1840, Plantation had about 2200 residents; 400 were slaveowners; 1200 were tenant farmers; 450 were black slaves; 350 white women owned slaves; 100 menowned horses or mules; 10 menowned dogs or cats; 1 manoperated a sawmill/millinery business. Many young white women became wives of plantation owners while working on their estates during the antebellum period when slavery was legal throughout much of America but not legal inFlorida until after its admission into Confederation in 1828! By 1860, only about 150 people still lived on plantations statewide with an estimated 6000 black slaves living off crop production alone according as well as 600 free blacks living within white households overall including those enslaved! Slavery ended beginning around 1865 when all US states attained common law independence from UK rule following American Civil War - meaning slavery no longer existed under any legal recognition anywhere! However even though slavery formally ceased across America several hundred thousand African Americans remained trapped within Django Unchained type conditions until freed by international treaty signed at Cairo International Airport March 21st 1957 finally ending World Slave Trade

Since then, much has changed about Plantation, including its location within Miami-Dade County and ongoing efforts to redevelop it into luxury housing developments.
