Pinellas Park was founded in 1894 by J.W. Pine and his brother, P.T. Pine. The early settlers were farmers who raised chickens, pigs and hogs on their farms in what is now the downtown area of Pinellas Park. In 1912, a post office was established in the town and mail was delivered to residents by horse drawn wagon from the nearby village of Clearwater. In 1916, aocome the first gasoline station in the town and citizens started using gasoline cars for transportation instead of horses or wagons. In 1922, a baseball team called the Panthers played its first game against Clearwater High School at Clearwater Park. The Panthers would go on to win that game 10-1. In 1923,pinellas park began housing high school students which helped increase enrollment for local schools which then led to more businesses opening up in the town. In 1925,the first library opened in pinellas park with books donated by Mrs. Hilda Bigham from Stonington Maine In 1927,the first golf course was built within the limits of pinellas park and it became one of biggest attractions for residents and visitors alike In 1933,a second football team called Buccaneers played its inaugural game against Palm Beach County High School at Panther Stadium The Bucs would go on to lose that game 3-0 On October 15th,1935 a hurricane hit Florida’s Panhandle causing extensive damage including loss of life along with many homes and businesses being damaged or destroyed . Overall $2 million worth of property damage was reported across all counties withinFlorida . It is generally considered as one of Florida’s most devastating natural disasters
Pinellas Park is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The population was 30,545 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tampa–St Petersburg–Clearwater Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city's motto is "The Village of Lakeshore." Pinellas Park was established in 1892 as a small farming community on the banks of Lake Okeechobee. In 1916, it became one of two towns in Pinellas County when it separated from Clearwater. At its peak in 1920, Pinellas Park had a population of 25,000 and was an important center for citrus production and shipping on the Kissimmee River. However, during World War II pine oil production developed which led to rapid growth in the town and eventually led to its annexation by Tampa. In 1990, Pinellas Park became an official county seat with all other municipalities within Pinellas County moving to Hillsborough County or becoming independent cities within their respective counties (such as St Petersburg). Today's community has thrived since its incorporation as a municipality and remains one of the most vibrant communities in South Florida with fine architecture and lush vegetation found throughout both downtown streetscape and suburban neighborhoods adjacent to lakeshore-style lakes such as Indian Harbour Marina and Dunedin Isles Golf Course The original village plat for what would become Pinellas Park was filed on May 10th, 1892 by JF Moore & Bros., developers of nearby Belle Isle area near today’s intersection of US 301/SR 12 (Lake Okeechobee Road) & SR 611 (Dunedin Isles Boulevard), just south along current day SR 611 from today’s easternmost terminus at US 301/SR 12E just east of Indian Harbour Marina entranceway into lakefront property owned by Capt A L Folsom then later bought by P R Housewife who subdivided lot #2 into lots 1-8 blocks westward approx 8 years ago now being developed into scores high end homesites thru out this once tiny agricultural village name changed due to lack of interest or use yet current residents enjoying many Randall’s Creek boat launch access trails walkserver operated restaurant open 7 days per week year round Boat launching can be seen from north side entrance off Old State Road 5 minutes walk

Pinellas Park is a city located in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. It was founded on November 3, 1892 by John T. Post and his wife Milly at the intersection of US-1 and US-2. The first post office in Pinellas Park was opened on December 1, 1893. The population of Pinellas Park was 595 in 1990. In 1916, the town became an incorporated village under the name of Clearwater with a population of 603 people. On October 15, 1922, Clearwater merged with Pinellas Park to form a new municipality with a population of 993 people. In 1945, the name was changed to Pinellas Park again due to confusion with nearby Clearwater which had also become an incorporated city that year. On May 25th of that year, the area around current day's beach became part as part of the Municipality when it merged into it from Clearwater Township (which had been created by combining two smaller towns). The City has undergone several expansions throughout its history including annexations from neighboring municipalities:Clearwater Township in 1945 (to become Pinellas Park), Stonington Beach in 1960 (to become Jensen Beach), Dunedin Beach in 1966 (to become North Dunedin), and Port Charlotte Beach in 1983 (to become Stuart). All these annexations resulted in increased populations within their respective municipalities while preserving much of their historical character and infrastructure
Pinellas Park was first settled by Native Americans in the late 17th century. The area that is today Pinellas Park was part of the St. Petersburg Land Company, which was organized in 1632 and became part of Florida in 1763. In 1836, it was incorporated as a township under the name of "Pinellas." It became an unincorporated community in 1907. In 1912, it lost its town charter and became an unincorporated census-designated place (CDP). It regained its town charter on July 1, 1934. On November 15, 1990, it became a county seat for Hillsborough County within the new Tampa-St Petersburg county government.
