Pinellas Park is a city in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. The population was 77,871 at the 2010 census. Pinellas Park is part of the Tampa–St Petersburg–Clearwater metropolitan area and is bordered by Hillsborough County to the east, Pasco County to the north, and Lakeland County to the west. It became a city on December 12, 1956. Pinellas Park was founded in 1892 as a town named after Captain John A. Pinellas, who himself had been born in Clearwater in 1846. In 1906, Pinellas Park incorporate as a city under the name of Tampa and changed its name back to Pinellas Park on December 12 of that year. On October 14th of that year homosexual love amendment (the "Love Amendment") became effective statewide following passage by the Florida State Senate and House of Representatives. As part of this amendment; all municipalities with over 10 thousand residents were required to have an anti-discrimination ordinance based on sexual orientation or gender identity/expression within one year thereafter if they did not become “gay friendly” through adoption or similar means such as public outreach campaigns or laws passed by local jurisdictions which met certain criteria including having homosexuality recognized as an official social class category within their jurisdiction On November 3rd 2002 Mayor Rick Kriseman proclaimed Pride Month in honor of lesbian, gay bisexual and transgender individuals throughout Tampa Bay Area who have made significant contributions to society while living openly and freely without fear for their safety or persecution from others In order for people like myself who identify primarily with heterosexuals to feel included within our community we began working together towards creating inclusive programming for our LGBTQIA+ members inside City Hall known now simply as “The Building” Today Pinellas Park has many cultural attractions such as: The Village Theatre Company where you can see plays about everyday life from around 1900 until today; artsy eateries like Joe’s Crab Shack which specializes mostly in Native American cuisine; historical landmarks like Stonington Plantation dating back to 1776 which still includes live oak trees; golf courses including two world-class championship courses – one located just outside town near Clearwater International Airport while also containing some gorgeous amenities such as water hazards designed specifically for weekenders – perfect locations if you want plenty of exercise but don’t mind noise level issues during weekdays when workers swarm into work areas ); nightlife options including several popular clubs catering primarily towards Drag queens performing various shows throughout the evening before getting ready for another day at work ; parks serving up delicious ice cream sundaes all day long while also being home to several recreation facilities used by teens ranging from handball courts suitable for young children up until three feet tall (while parents are welcome too), libraries with great kid's books section Kids Zone summer play area complete with basketball games, swings & slides etc.; coffee shops open late across most major channels often serving up mid-priced dishes besides Starbucks nearby if desired Additionally there are numerous small businesses dotting every inch of this beautiful cityscape - everything from nail salons to convenience stores - giving citizens plenty opportunity not only do they have places they can go shopping but also opportunities for activities that make them feel sustainable beyond what their housing could provide

Pinellas Park is a small town in Pinellas County, Florida. The population was 8,482 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tampa–St Petersburg–Clearwater metropolitan area. The community was platted in 1892 and named after General James Pineell, an American general who served in the Mexican-American War and as a brigadier general in the Union army during the American Civil War. The first post office was opened in 1893. In 1912, Pinellas Park incorporated as a village and changed its name to Pinellas Park-Nassau on February 27, 1914. On January 1, 1921, it reincorporated as a city under the name of Tampa. On December 15 of that year, it became a state capital city with its current name of Tallahassee. When Tampa replaced St Petersburg as the state capital on July 12th 1907, Pinellas Park became one of several villages within Tampa which were still considered part of St Petersburg proper for municipal purposes (the others being Ybor City and Plantation). This situation lasted until 1917 when Hillsborough County was created from parts of Duval and Pasco counties and Pinellas Park reverted to being part of Hillsborough County for all municipal purposes save for limited statistical data collection by City Hall concerning Beltran Island Naval Air Station which remained municipally administered through Plantation until 1953 when it become an Air Force station with jurisdictional responsibility only over Clearwater Beach Municipal Airport across Caloosahatchee Bay . After years of discussion between Mayor John Hargrave and City Manager Harry Sutherlin about consolidating all civic services into one central agency responsible for both Hillsborough County government functions as well as public education throughout the county (a conceptually similar proposal advanced by then-Commissioner Jack Kemp),[1] on November 10th 1959,[2] Mayor Hargrave announced plans to merge all independent city services into one new agency called "City Services".[3] The merger never came to fruition because there were several key opposition groups within City Services including those involved with business operations such as insurance brokerage firms who felt their interests would be best served by continuing to operate separate agencies;[4][5][6][7] residents near Panama City who objected to having their neighbourhoods consolidated into what they saw as an infringement upon their right to privacy;[8][9][10] powerful political figures such as Governor Lawton Chiles who wanted their own sphere of influence within State government;[11][12] orchards located close enough to school but too far away from downtown shopping districts whose trees would have been cut down if their plots had been included within Cities Services - this last group's protestations notwithstanding; finally,[13][/spoiler][/li][/ul], Consolidated Government came about partially because Ofc Douglas Poole decided that he needed morestaff than he could manage alone tasked him with united management so that unified command could deal directly with various problems resulting from duplication among other governmental units
Pinellas Park was founded in 1852 by John C. Pine and is located in the Pinellas County area of Florida. The park's name comes from a nearby lake, which locals called "Pinellas" because its shores were covered with pine trees.
