The history of ammunition in Pembroke Pines, Florida goes back to the early 1800s. The first firearms in the area were muzzleloaders and pistols made from smoothbore rounds. Ammunition was necessary to keep these weapons clean and functioned properly. By the 1830s, cannons had become a common weapon in Pembroke Pines, and artillery pieces were being manufactured there as well. Ammunition became an important part of this military arsenal and it continued to be used until World War II. In 1835, John Crayton founded the first blacksmith shop in Pembroke Pines. This business helped provide ammunition for local forces as well as guns for use by Major General Andrew Jackson during his campaigns against Native Americans in Tennessee and Mississippi. In 1847, John Crayton's son-in-law James Auld opened another blacksmith shop on Southwest Fourth Street in town. This business helped supply ammunition for both local militias and rifles used by Union troops during the American Civil War. After the war ended, this shop closed down but reopened around 1870 under new ownership with a focus on supplying munitions to businesses within town rather than selling them directly to consumers. Ammunition production continued at this location until 1915 when all operations were moved to a new plant located on Third Street east of State Road 436 that was built specifically for ammo production. During World War I, ammo production totaled 2 million pounds; however, only 350 thousand pounds was actually exported due to restrictions placed on exports by America's enemies at that time. After World War I ended, many companies merged or went bankrupt including Armoury Powder Works which produced 1 million cases of rifle powder alone between 1924-1929 before bankruptcy again forced closure of company Headquarters located near present day Veterans Memorial Parkway exit number 167 off Interstate 95 southbound traffic flow). The last major manufacturer of ammo prior to WWII was Winchester Arms Corporation who produced over 100 million rounds of small arms ammunition between 1923-1945 before their merger with Remington Arms Company which led ultimately to their bankruptcy in 1951 also leading to their shuttering of Ammo Plant #2 located just southeast of downtown Jacksonville off SOMERSET RD intersection) In 1955 Winchester Arms Corporation reopens Ammo Plant #2 under new management providing 4 years continuous operation (later becoming known as Legacy Manufacturing Company)

In 1865 Captain Stephens donated land for what is now known as Hillsborough State College; today it is one of Clearwater Beach's most important tourist attractions because of its unique double quadrangle campus complex including an arena/dome that can hold up to 8,500 people and a library/museum which contains objects dating back to 1660 when Fort Duval was built nearby! In addition to Hillsborough State College there are also three small shopping centers: One inside City Hall (opened 1959) - anchored by Sears & Roebuck - features more than 160 stores; another called Bayfront Plaza (opened 1978) anchors Veterans Affairs Medical Center; while Harbour Towne Centre (opened 1990) provides mall-like retail facilities anchorwise with anchor stores including JCPenney& Co., Macy’s Inc., Stein Mart & Co., BJ’s Wholesale Club

With increasing advances in technology however, portable artillery batteries became ever more able to provide fire support anywhere within range without havingto leave their positions
